I was going through my archives and decided to share these. I've known Ian Daniels' work since I was a teenager, and it inspired me so much, but he seems fairly unknown. He has a very unique style, especially in some of his works, which feel like a particularly surreal kind of fantasy.

finished my second playthrough ytd... this game might be the first one i ever did 2 playthroughs of back-to-back :')
(i often start another playthrough right after i'm done with a game i really like, but drop them halfway)

Kimimaro was a turning point for me... Tell me this isn't the coolest thing you've ever seen?!
Also that era hits the perfect spot between the 'scrappiness' of early Naruto and the cleanliness of Shippuden when it comes to Kishimoto's art - for my personal taste. Love it so much 😩

Realize there might be other things on sale today...but I'd really appreciate it if you considered buying a physical print of your favorite piece of painfully detailed pixel art instead 😅🙏

I've been more careful to avoid rushing the past couple of years and I feel like it's helped me improve a lot.
I stop myself from finishing pieces in one sitting, and thus I will inevitably get a second look at it with fresh eyes later... and it almost always ends up being better as a result!

I agree with you! In animation we are really pushed to get the work done faster, faster, faster!! And there's not really much helping it when the time constraint is just too short.
It took me a while to get out of that mindset in my personal work, too. (cont)

Bit the bullet and got a decent printer of my own (epson et-8550) so I can make my own prints... tests are going well! now i need to find good textured inkjet paper that doesn't cost an arm. :')
if anyone has recommendations, preferably UK-based, i would be grateful!
