Tonight's second free act - the Kelly Politzer Trio performing Brazilian jazz and bossy nova. Very classic, sultry and smooth but not loungy in the least. Great set.

Been getting our music on this week.
Last night, Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Tonight free jazz courtesy of PDX JazzFest!
First is Jet Black Pearl, a dutch jazz songstress who uses loops live with vocals, flute, and accordion. Modern and whimsical - kinda french jazz meets They Might Be Giants.

Let's make things more expensive!!!

That's the main reason I even know aboutGFmart - constant props on the restaurant!

Closer to GMart, noted!

West side. We range across a lot of stores as well as farmers market(s). Some things we're pickier about sourcing, some not. We have a decent budget but I sale hound to get better quality at cheaper price, and for offset to where we spend more.

We do some asian market shopping but should do more.

Also Winco employee owned. No shareholder nonsense. Based on my weekly comps, not always but better than even odds (80+%) they're the cheapest. The produce is sometimes iffy. I don't do their seafood or meat so can't comment on that.

Also that is a LOT of potted starts behind you!

Ooooh, intriguing. Are these sinks you got free someplace?

I don't think we could go scrounge our local landfill.

Do you freeze protect? (not that we are in danger but always a small risk?

I have yet to pay for a single vaccination at our local Walgreens. And that's on a *Blue Cross* high deductible plan.

I suspect insurance companies know their bread is buttered on the prevention side of this equation.

Uh, wouldn't presenting a false license already be a crime?

06.03.2026 18:17 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That is a wild headline. Like just wretchedly false. I get victimhood is a core maga value but you have to be severely damaged to agree with that take.

Don't post anything original in 5 mos or more & only reply on a singular topic (in this case trans / Singal) is always a danger sign in social media nature. Whether a stan bot or supporter or og undercover doesn't matter. Clearly bad faith.

Dems should have been filing impeachments for this admin like sweepstakes entries even if they would never see the light of day.

Cool.

Now prosecute at the state level for humanitarian crimes so the Cheeto can't pardon

Of course but that requires the GOP to actual abide by the constitution.

For those wondering, Shield of the Americas is a real thing.

It's an initiative cooked up by Bukele (El Salvador) and Chavez (Costa Rica).

I'm sure Noem will be involve with some expansion of gulags and camps or such.

Mullin is no better than Noem in his position and support. He may not be as flamboyantly bad at the role, but if confirmed he will probably be just as ruthless. He was fine with ICE killing Renee.

I'd be fine to handle it like regular smoking - restrict it in certain places (eg restaurants incl patios) but allow it outdoors, smoking areas, etc.

Supposedly my other starts are different types but they are being slower to bloom. They have nascent buds that are taking their time to mature.

picture of the full plant in its planter. The cactus is maybe 3" high and 6" wide with 3 small branches.

Just look at this lovely cactus blossom on such a teeny plant!

I am not much of a houseplant person. A friend gifted me a few starts to propagated. They sat in a wet paper towel in water for months before transplanting. And then I just stuck them in dirt and watered them. Benign neglect!

Guy makes it tough to resist engaging to dunk on the fact that 30% in a gallup poll is way more than a small cadre of bskiers and 3xs the number that think it does more good than harm.

As expected. The GOP has long since ceded their congressional power to the regime - for power, money, whatever - and it's naive to think they would stop now. They'll cross every line put in front of them until it's to their personal detriment and even then they'd probably cross it anyway.

If current trends hold and we manage to overcome all the planned interference, malfeasance, and subsequent legal challenges (and possibly armed ones), there will be a reckoning.

A lot of caveats, I know, but trying to keep expectations level set.
