It has been blowing my mind there are so many people surprised by this. Did we just throw common sense out the window? Nuts.

Concerned about Washington's privacy? HB 2320 & 2321 would mandate that 3D printers spy on your files and reject designs the government doesn't approve of.

This isn't public safety, it's surveillance.
Oppose HB 2320 & HB 2321. π«

A poem that reads: everything is listening phones cars and tv screens it won't be too long til we're wearing smart blue jeans a few of us are nervous but others do not care that all these things are listening sending voices who knows where it always comes on slowly it's just a targeted ad but how long will it be til they decide if you've been bad
This is great, I did the same thing but kept the pens and made a web interface. How was FluidNC to work with? bsky.app/profile/john...

Made a pen plotter for under $20 and some 3d printed parts. It serves up a whole web server, just connect, draw, and plot. No drivers or installs for the user, just open a browser. Full writeup here hackaday.io/project/2045... #cnc #3dprinting #esp32 #penplotter #stem
Adding scientific data to local Ai via API, injects the data with your prompt. #data #ollama #llm
A text block that reads: When you ask: "What happens if I mix ibuprofen with H2SO4?" The tool provides: Scientific Context: - Materials Project (H2SO4) | ID: mp-558129 | Band gap: 0.00 eV | Density: 1.83 g/cm3 | Meta - PubChem (ibuprofen) | IUPAC: 2-14-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl]propanoic... | Formula: C13H1802 - RDKit (ibuprofen) | MW: 206.3 | HBD: 1 | HBA: 2 | LogP: 3.5 | TPSA: 37.3 | Lipinski: v - ChEMBL (ibuprofen) | Drug: IBUPROFEN | Status: Approved | Treats: Pain, Inflammation User Query: What happens if I mix ibuprofen with H2S04?
I've been working on a tool to add scientfic data from PubChem, ChEMBL, RDKit and others into OpenWebUI. It watches for keywords and makes an API request to the appropriate service and includes the scientific data in your prompt for the model. #openwebui #ollama #llm github.com/johnsonfarms...
Iβm fine with it, but only if they arenβt using Ai themselves. If the insurance company is using it then they should have to cover it.
But how soon before you die, today could be an option π€£
Been on a journey messing with conductive PLA for 3d printing. I was seeing if I could print a fuse (because why not melt plastic into your projects), but ended up with a fairly decent resistor. hackaday.io/project/2042... #electronics #3dprinting
Did anyone else see an 8 foot tall Seagull in heels closing out #SeaGL2025 or am I just high on FOSS? Canβt wait for #SeaGL2026! #SeaGL #linux #gnu #seattle
Interesting discussion from @withenoughcoffee.com at #SeaGL2025 on AI bias, how to improve it, and why we need to be deliberate in how we use AI systems.

Great keynote from @evan.cosocial.ca.ap.brid.gy at #SeaGL2025. I will definitely be diving into the #fediverse to learn more.
I am trying to learn how AI works, so I am building my own from scratch. Just to add some fun, I am also fitting it on an esp32, and making it a Shakespearean character. Trained on open source data, just mention @constabledogberry.bsky.social to get a reply. #esp32 #STEM github.com/johnsonfarms...

A mason jar with a yellow lid that reads βTeaGL 2025β at the top with an image of a seagull in the middle that reads βSeaGLβ and the name βTed Mβ at the bottom of the lid. The jar is surrounded by 4 more prototype lids with the same content but slight variations in color and scale. The lid design is for a tea swap at the Seattle GNU/Linux Conference 2025.
It took a few iterations, I am still new to color 3d printing, but I think it came out well. See you at #TeaGL! #SeaGL #SeaGL2025
A 3d printed case with an electronic display that reads "#SeaGL2025 on BlueSky Join the conversation!". The edge of a battery can be seen behind the device.
@bsky.app There is an issue with the search function, in the app and the API. When sorting by latest for a hashtag like #SeaGL2025, if there is a pinned post it messes up the order of the results. You can sort locally after a pull but with small hardware it's an issue. #BlueskyBugs #BlueskySupport
