This is now 4 fully painted kill teams before I've ever played a game, with 2 teams half-painted, and 3 more teams on order. Is this a problem?

Finished up my Krieg Kill Team. Going to add in some blood, and once the barbed wire comes in the mail, add that in too.

Something I've been thinking a lot about in TTRPG design and theory lately is what I'll call "New Hammer Syndrome". A system becomes popular, and an under-pinning concept becomes the new "hammer" that turns all of TTRPGs into a certain kind of nail.
