Kinda want to learn portrait photography. Been looking at Matika Wilbur’s Project 562 and kinda want to do a project like it, maybe with Indigenous teachers here in BC.

The hypocrisy is staggering
So-called Canada is supporting a so-called America that doesn’t seem bothered that they bombed a school on the first day. Or that is very much the impression that government and opposition are giving.
Photo from my second floor classroom of a corner of the floor of the new school under construction. They have shoveled a path for workers along the edge. The snow is powdery but also about a foot deep, which I can confirm from walking out to my car this morning.
Snow is almost a foot deep and the roads are slippery. STILL a school day though. Expecting more to fall today and the forecast says through the weekend.
I guess, next year, when the DST ‘spring forward’ time change rolls around, I will have to remember to ask non– BC residents, “What do you mean you sprung forward an hour last night? Were you kidnapped by a UFO? How did you lose an hour? Is this a government cover-up?”

This kinda reminds me of anti-trans bathroom bills. The nebulous concept of "safety" being used to take away everyone's rights, despite there already being laws that directly address the stated safety issues.
Only half the class again today. Half of missing stà:xwelh appear to have started spring break early, the other half of the absent are out sick. Unlike yesterday’s unpleasant snowfall, today’s was fluffy and pretty and nice to watch fall. Cold out though.
