I am so thankful for the response to this illustration. It was the first time I had drawn something non work related in a while, and it was the most fun I had with art all year.

thanks! and yeah, I've been working non-stop since then. Recently started on the final chapter, and I've been focusing on updating combat and re-doing the cobweb hotel dungeon from the demo. Thought it be more fun if it was an actual delipidated hotel.

Something I loved about Sierra games was activating objects that would then open up a more detailed pop up window.

6. Neo Junk City

A point & click RPG with tons of extra minigames to diversify gameplay, like shootouts & retro arcade racing.
Play as a robotic cop that wakes up in an alley with a dead body next to her. Assuming you did the deed, venture out to search the neon city to find evidence of the murder.

Spent this weekend adding a bestiary to Neo Junk City! After adding a scan mechanic during shoot outs I said "Now I need something to DO with scanning." So I thought art showcase + lore felt fun.

Row of 6 clowns both done in pixelart and digital hand drawings. The row consist of Scurvy a blue and red pirate themed clown, Stiltz is a tall green and pink clown with a creepy face and holding two balloons, Silly the Kidder a yellow and red rodeo clown with a prop gun, Miss Behave a pink and blue slim "e-girl" clown, Patty a chubby orange and red fast food clown with a burger, and Pippi Shortfuse a pink and red harlequin clown hiding a bomb behind her back.

These baddies are functionally my "Koopalings", we have;
Scurvy, Stiltz, Silly the Kidder, Miss Behave, Patty, and Pippi Shortfuse.

The 2D Renders are once against done by my lovely and talented friend @calisdraws.bsky.social. I absolutely love the way she renders my characters.

I always liked when games opened up paths with cutscenes like this.

He was my absolute fav of the Bandora gang. As much as I loved Goldar, something about Pleppy's design and evil-but-not-really attitude was very intriguing.

and to an extent feels unavoidable. I cant even google a coding problem without the AI just automatically answering before the search results.

Out of all the terrible things the torment nexus produces, teaching yourself a skill with it as a supplement to tutorials is probably one of the edge cases that feels far less harmful to me than 99% of all other use cases.

and that may be my own bad that I got wrapped up in my head canon, but it felt relatable, because Ive never met someone with my last name that I've liked either 😅

My issue with rise of skywalker was I hated that Rei "became" a Skywalker. I'd become invested in the idea that she was redeeming her real family name a little by becoming a good Palpatine that rises to prominence.

It's not just a mood, it's a solid bit!
