In exasperation at the Real World I have been making my own imaginary one, but a certain level of negativity appears to have followed me there.

A representation of the Drake meme with my simple scribbled Friend (very simple figure). The top panel (shying away from) reads New Year Resolution. The bottom panel (self satisfied pointing) reads New Year Revolution. So it might just be a bad pun around a new revolution around the sun, or it could be a call to arms against the autocratic broligarchy. IT'S A MYSTERY.

This works on SO MANY LEVELS.

Drawn on top, and making a rather crowded scene, are 24 of my Friend folk. Simple black and white figures wearing a wide variety of festive headgear (Santa hats, reindeer antlers, Christmas tree hats). One on the right holds a placard with the number 24 on it. One sits on a sleigh with a knitted chicken in the distance behind the stable. One lies on top, the bobble of their hat dangling down. The others stand to the sides of the stable, and inside at the back, with some sitting on the rock and the front edge of the stable. It's all quite busy, but they all hope you have a lovely few days, whether or not you celebrate, and whatever you are doing. And so do I.

Just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a fun festive season.

My website just hit 25. Good grief.

An edited version of the 1980s Maxell casset ad with the 'blown away man'. In the ad a man sits low in an arm chair facing a speaker, with hair & necktie being blown back by the sound. The lampshade and glass next to him are also being blown back. I have made some rudimentary changes so the figure can be read more easily as a woman (much longer hair being blown back, some changes to clothing) and replaced the speaker with a large rotating cooling fan. The slogan has changed from "maxell - it's worth it" to "menopause - is it hot in here?

Probably a niche audience for this one, but I reckon the fact that this has really tickled me since it popped into my head should be sufficient proof of age for the Online Safety Act. But no. Bah.

The stem of the feather runs horizontally across, and I have turned it into a mouth, adding a bottom row of teeth poking up. It has two large eyes above, and arms folded over onto its fluffy belly (or chin, depending on how you look at it - below its mouth anyhow).

I genuinely can't think of anything I've seen posted here that would be classed as adult! It's just the mild annoyance of not knowing what I'm not going to be able to see, IYKWIM.

The ones on the far left and right are low to the roof, and now have pointy teeth as if they are chomping down on it. The other has a straight mouth drawn on higher up. The other chimney (3rd along the line) is much taller and tan coloured with a circular entry facing the camera. I have added large google eyes to the top so the circle has become a big open smile. It also has two protruding sections, one on each side, and these look like arms, so I have added a few fingers poking out below. It looks very happy.

Anyhow, let's check that I'm still allowed to post pictures.
