I think the game works very differently to how you might think it does.
There's no parsing or processing of files. The game is just a C# console app that uses a FileWatcher to track changes to files, which are all created by the game itself and used as identifiers more than separate pieces of logic
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "unpacking loot"?
The game uses neither of those commands, or any execution of arbitrary code.
It's time for some more DEMOS!! We're doing Forbidden Solitaire, and possibly Directory Dungeon!!

Others have had these concerns so I did a little write up on the Steam forums:

It's not open source but there's no obfuscation or the like so feel free to crack it open with something like dotPeek.
Loved this article from @noelfb.bsky.social. C# and .NET are totally OK to build multiplatform games in 2026!
Lots of gems in the ecosystem

Okay it's time for the sicko stuff. Have you ever wanted to play a roguelike (actual) in the data directory of a game itself? Directory dungeon has your very specific needs catered.

A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.
Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.

I have been outspoken against all things gen-AI. Fuck any corporation that rushes to replace human talent with machines
I do extend some grace to indies who experimented with what seemed like fun new tech before the backlash built up, so long as they plan on changing direction and don't double down
Steam Next Fest summary for Mythmatch with 561 total players, 133 players who wishlisted, and 653 wishlists.
Here are the Mythmatch numbers from Steam Next Fest.
I've always told myself I'd share information for better or worse, so here it is.
Every wishlist matters, and everyone who gave the game a shot brings me joy.
And you can still play the demo here!

This feels like a good time to remind everyone that weβre running a games expo in April

I had a couple of ideas that I find very intriguing;
I have replaced the binary states that LEDs used with 32bit integer registers and LEDs point to individual bit values. The LEDs in this video show the current startup time in milliseconds in binary form.
I love this.

A fun concept for a dungeon crawler game, it takes place in file explorer literally. very novel!

Of course!
One useful definition is art where each pixel has been individually placed with intention. But this also has it's problems.
And there's also Vector art, which is not explicitly tied to pixels so some might argue it's not made of pixels. Please consult an actual vector artist on this though :)
i was doing some thinking about the current wave, which i think we could use balatro as a poster child for, of low granularity gambling RPGs.
This is my game Abyss of Kings! A dark fantasy Action-Adventure about exploring forgotten caverns and fighting sentient chess pieces ! βοΈ βοΈβοΈ

Donc lΓ , le jeu m'a ouvert une console de commande, un explorateur de fichier, je dois drag & drop mon personnage dans les diffΓ©rentes portes pour avancer et je supprime les items que je veux utiliser ?

Thanks for this Alex!
My game is a tiny dungeon crawler played in the actual Windows file explorer! Your player character is a folder, you drag/drop to move, and use items by deleting them.
