TM has been storing the agendas in machine readable format since September so we cooked up a script to look for all agenda items mentioning staff report appear/submit/etc and parsed out the motion makers for a count and to generate the tables for each member.

Staff Directive Motion Analysis
An analysis of motions by Tampa City Council from 9/25-3/26 for staff to appear for or to write a report for council.
One of the sources of friction between the mayor and council has been "staff time" in particular to written and in person staff reports. TM has analyzed the last 6 months of council motions for all staff reports.

Hurtak recently filed to run for mayor in 2027. Council member Young, who has filed to run for her seat, was not aware of any changes with her planned ride-a-longs.

In a bit of a surprise from a city council that claims to be all about transparency and holding the administration accountable, they just approved a financial resolution for Iβm not exactly sure how much for non-profit funding the public had never seen. Apparently sent to council at 7pm last night

I've contemplated ways I can continue to grow the site without paywalls and useless ads. I'm trying an experiment with a single "Community Sponsor" for either the newsletter or the website. Or both. If your organization or business has interest, please reach out.

Text from the proposal "RedSpeed meets all of the County's camera technology requirements and is the only vendor utilizing lane-specific, high resolution (3000x5000 pixels, 30 frames per second), video cameras in combi-nation with infra-red (IR) illuminators to maximize the number of violations successfully captured and prosecuted. RedSpeed is proud to offer Flock ALPR and is the only vendor that integrates Flock ALPR into its system so that Flock ALPR is processing RedSpeed camera images. This also means no extra poles, cameras, infrastructure and solar panels cluttering the roadway."
Page 34 of the proposal, in the same paragraph they note "meets all of the County's camera technology requirements" they note the Flock ALPR integration."
Did they confuse GA law here too?

not to mention "significant support to Florida Legislature" as it considered protections to students over last 3 years. They lobbied for the bill that allows these cameras it sounds like. But ok, the Flock stuff was for GA.

They call the information in the proposal cited in the piece "unfortunate confusion" and that the language was meant for Georgia law, not FL. However just below the section they emphasize the Flock integration, they note their "unmatched Florida expertise" and working with FDOT on permit rule making

Approving the CRA services agreement has been delayed a few times as Council/Board member Carlson attempts to make modifications, including offering a substitute agreement. I wanted to know what specifics he was proposing so I deconstructed the two agreements to find the differences.
