I feel like every other day there's a new *thing* in the atmosphere. The academic publishing world is, by all accounts, pretty broken. Chive feels genuinely exciting, with all sorts of amazing possibilities opened up by atproto.
Vibe coding seems like the new (agile,refactoring,technical debt,devops,full stack) in starting with a clear meaning and drifting away from the context picking up new meanings along the way.
The way it's used mostly seems to shift between the extremes of "YOLO SEND IT" and rapid prototyping to explore a vast problem space before sitting down to do the hard work of writing a spec to use with agents as a collaborator, all the same person. So maybe this is reasonable language drift.

Not a dig or anything. I think a bit of curated delusion is necessary to keep going day to day when one's mind isn't inclined to supply it on its own because the rational path is dark stuff.
