So what are they going to do when Jesus doesn't return? Will they make him up or will they claim they just didn't war hard enough for a god they keep claiming preaches only peace and love?
It is inclusive language to signal that the speaker recognizes the broad diversity of roles and identities in the military and military adjacent organizations and not deny them their lived experience of contributing to the war effort from the entrenchment of their mahogany desk at the Pentagon.
Gen Z/Alpha: the 2000s were cool we should bring some of that back

My most-liked YouTube short yet is titled "Unrelenting noise is considered a form of torture by the International Commission on Human Rights" youtube.com/shorts/VM3Qm...
What's the order of magnitude on a purchase like that? My wife and I used to camp a lot and now the children are old enough to start doing it all the time again.
I want to eat so much spaghetti I puke. I'm not even hungry. I just need spaghetti.

I don't think Pam Bondi is a policy wonk (people with basic math literacy have better things to do with their lives than become lawyers for politicians), but she definitely heard, "the DOW is over 50k" from one in her office.
This kind of guy is the Policy Wonk. They see everything through the lens of "economy go up, economy go down." They fundamentally have no principles of their own, but because they do a lot of high school math to construct their fairytales, they think they're better than everyone.
I would rather see our existing public education system do a better job of preparing kids for the world rather than relying on colleges to train our nation's workforce. We are already spending more per student than all but one country in the world. We should be getting some value for that money.
"Did it just say Hail Satan?!?!"
"... no, it said Oh Tolu."
"It sounds so similar!!!!"
There was a Cookie Monster you that did not at all sound like it was saying "it's time to fuck" but word got around that it did and that thing was gooooooone faster than Sam Altman's commitment to running OpenAI as a non-profit for the public good.
Good eye! I meant to include this photo too
It also minimizes and imfantilizes the working class artists who *are* making their art and surviving.
When you realize that genres like noisecore and punk that specifically priortize self-expression over instrumental skill, it's easy to see that the AI argument is a post-hoc rationalization for a speaker who doesn't want to put the *bare minimum* amount of work into getting attention online.
Second, it requires several assumptions to be true: that working class people aren't able to produce music using non-AI tools, that music requires expensive production tools at all, that money is at all a barrier to being a musician, and that these tools are financially accessible to said same folk.
First of all, it's disingenuous. This isn't a poor, working class person making this argument. It's most likely a trust fund kid trying to "do a startup".
But Sarah, how could we <possibly> afford such large-scale, non-universal redistribution? π§π€
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
I've only seen posts from people complaining about posts of people boosting Newsom uber alles.
