My main discovery was this: AI can be a very helpful tool to designers to save some time but it still struggles with lots of things. The bulk of the work will still need to be done to achieve the perfect result.
It still required a LOT of work to get the kit swap right, adding in each and every element one by one and adding shadows, lighting, warping, changing the perspective and so on. However, AI gave me a good starting point.
In order to create the pose and to save time with changing the shirt, shorts and socks colour, I generated an image of a footballer with AI, typing in exactly what I wanted to get the right result.
