Closing in on 3k (pace will intensify as the month goes on). Imagine what I could accomplish if I could focus earlier! Getting back to it but gosh it’s hard not to ramble all morning before buckling down. #amwriting

This is cozy romantic fantasy; just a nice little tale about people, mostly! I really enjoy the genre though I’ll probably do mystery next.

After a few days of prep I started a new project yesterday. Just under 2k with a goal of 70k in thirty days, max 90. #amwriting

Day four of the Bubble. I would have been tired with one kid a decade ago. Seems kind of insurmountable now. Made all three dinner with veg and chicken, ate what was left on their plates. Am officially back on “pie and coffee” until the situation improves.

One thing my temporarily kaput computer has shown me is how much I miss having affinity open with a game I won’t work on while I do other stuff. Er. I mean how eager I am to get back to the game I was working on :D

That is flat out terrifying! In a great way. Just terrifying. I love Copics! And no idea you could layer acrylics over them.

Yea. For me, it’s unnecessarily granular. Six is a sweet spot (worst, bad, meh, good enough, great). D10 has the same advantage of visible odds as a d100. I tend to use my die of fate to answer quick “move it forward” qs like “is it raining?” or morale or whatever is needed in the moment, though.

Obsidian would be my vote too. Discord is terrible for this; you can’t retrieve your content easily and in some cases at all. Keep it local, keep it out of a database.

I don’t feel like Freeform has the same connotations of ceding authority and (possibly) assumption-based play. I’m not an FKR gm but I’ve always thought we’re all somewhat adjacent in the nsr/rules lite sphere.

Baby has strep so we are all scrambling a bit. Got to spend today with the other kids and it was a good day even if I haven’t gotten to write yet. :) though I do wonder why my bubble has all the household chores in it! And I’m doomed when the sugar cookies run out.

This was my path too. Haven’t quite hit freeform yet, I need my “no plan” mess to have rules to anchor it. But WoDu has been my rock (settling point?) and I’m happy with it.

Definitely a balancing act; I’ve started doing really elaborate ones with instructions to cherry pick for the purpose. But still definitely not 266 worth!

I’m just cranky. I muted a few more accounts and figured out how to filter better. Now I’m going to answer all the questions even the rhetorical ones.

I’ve always enjoyed dialogue but since noticing I tend to focus on action I’ve begun making a conscious effort to do a lot more of it.
