Hello hello hello to our fave!! β¨ #showbiz
Just a reminder that Amazon workers are striking tomorrow through Monday, and that none of the βdealsβ are good enough to justify crossing the picket line.
Trans people are also American workers and seniors on Medicare...
I will not comply with bathroom bans.
Tweet by DJ Street MetroTech (@NCAAPresident): "Nex Benedict followed his school's bathroom 'rules as outlined.' He's now one of the thousands of siblings we mourn today for the Transgender Day of Remembrance. This is who you abandon when you acquiesce." (Below it is an image of Nex Benedict, smiling, sitting at a table with glasses on, holding chopsticks, making a peace sign.) Tweet by Sarah McBride (@SarahEMcBride): "I'm not here to fight about bathrooms. I'm here to fight for Delawareans and to bring down costs facing families." (A screenshot of a longer statement in smaller text is attached to this tweet but is not entirely legible here.)
This is the most devastating part. Forcing trans people into bathrooms they do not appear the gender of leaves them at immense risk for violence, especially trans masc folks.
1/ The rightβs war on trans people isnβt about βprotecting kidsβ or βfairness.β Itβs about isolating, dehumanizing, and provokingβpushing until someone breaks. You do not, under any circumstances, have the hand it to them. π§΅
the way that Nancy Mace is sexually harassing her trans colleague as well as everyone else she works with by making them listen to her perverted unsolicited thoughts about genitals all day long...... what other workplace on earth would allow that
βOne has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.β -Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
And itβs on every cis person in this country to fiercely have trans peopleβs backs in every macro and micro way, now and always. In the bathroom & in the streets. When theyβre present or not. Everywhere.
HBO is making a massive mistake. Until Rowling agrees to a buyout, this is an awful investment. The fandom wants nothing to do with her repugnant brand. Every article will reference Rowling's bigotry. Social media will eviscerate the show. Top talent rightly won't want to touch it. Total trainwreck.

βa large group of funny, talented trans posters were the earliest adopters of Bluesky and were able to forge the platform into what it is today: funny, frequently horny, and with very strong moderation tools. If you like Blueskyβs vibe right now, thank a trans person,β journalist Katelyn Burns said

Your non-binary Fil-Am internet friend,

There's more stuff like that @ callmethey.com. But for things not in the bio...
I studied theatre directing & will always love musical theatre & there's nothing guilty about my love for pop culture, especially reality tv.
