If you think you've seen stats showing high poverty rates for farmers, no you haven't. They stopped tracking those when it became clear they're on the low single digits at most, & that's just embarrassing.

The Unchecked Rise of Trucks and SUVs in America

You know about the light-duty truck loophole, right? It's why SUVs are not required to be more fuel efficient, and why auto makers are trying to sell you giant trucks and SUVs publications.lawschool.cornell.edu/jlpp/2024/11...

Wasn't this the guy that included a journalist on a Signal chat? Yeah, he has his finger on the pulse of the coverup.

Museum - West Acres Roger Maris Museum - West Acres Mall Visit the Roger Maris Museum which pays homage to baseball great Roger Maris at West Acres Mall in Fargo, ND.

It's apparently still there! westacres.com/attractions/...

I actually thought he was from ND, because there used to be a big display in the West Acres Mall in Fargo for him. I'd check it out every year when we did our 'back to school' shopping in Fargo.

Maris moved to ND when he was 3 or 4

Lactose sweetness, sour cheerios, pours a chunky/hazy purple, chewable consistency. 5.5 out of 5 stars.

We're releasing this beer next Friday in the Bier Halle. Jordan will be talking about the beer and the day at 6 PM.

I just looked up Orval, Rodenbach Grand Cru, Spezial Lager, Saison Dupont, all the Blaugies beers on Untappd and I rest my case.

36 Hours in Bologna, Italy: Things to Do and See (Gift Article) While Emilia-Romagna’s capital still thrives on traditions like tagliatelle al ragΓΉ and mortadella, new openings are taking the city in refreshing directions.

Travel articles usually take about a month to write & edit. This might be my record: I got back home late on a Sunday; 10 days + 5 hours later, β€œ36 Hours in Bologna, Italy” went live on @nytimes.com.
Great food, beer (Ca’ del Brado!) art & more.

In a nutshell, consistency is the key

To paraphrase Peter Austin: the best thing you can do is make great beer all the time. The next best thing you can do is make bad beer all the time...it will find it's fans. The worst thing you can do is make great beer sometimes and bad beer sometimes, because then everyone is confused

If I decide to go down the rabbit hole of quality, we're going to be here for a while. Simple definition: accomplishing what you set out to do. Meets expectations consistently. A process that is in control.

As you can tell, I have opinions πŸ˜‚

08.03.2026 01:35 πŸ‘ 8 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Rare/expensive beers are highly rated, because no one wants to admit they stood in line for 5 hours or paid an unreasonable amount of money for a 3. More emphasis on intensity of flavor than actual quality.

08.03.2026 01:35 πŸ‘ 13 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 4

Generally the highest rated beers have a small number of check-ins. Look up any beer considered a classic, and they generally have a rating between 3.2 and 3.6.

08.03.2026 01:29 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Bars/events have used the ratings to decide what beers to carry. The algorithm ultimately drives all beers to a rating of 3. Unrated check-ins get a 3.

I think that's a great way to use it actually. It's a personal list, and it most likely shows what you like.

If you look at the Untappd awards and notice how many of the award winning breweries are closed, you'll be closer to understanding how meaningless that site is. They actually do more damage than good.

Uh...not an e-bike

Uh...not an e-bike

Definitely not an e-bike

Definitely not an e-bike

And this isn't an e-bike

And this isn't an e-bike

But this is not an e-bike

But this is not an e-bike

Can anyone tell me what the bike industry and/or People For Bikes are doing about the way e-bikes are being blamed for havoc caused by people riding electric motorcycles?!!?

WAY MORE THAN HALF THE STORIES ABOUT DEATHS CAUSED BY E-BIKES DO NOT INVOLVE E-BIKES. THIS IS KIND OF IMPORTANT.
