This is the Gov looking for your input on the BBC. It takes a while to complete (15/20 mins) but it’s pretty comprehensive and covers most aspects.
Please share. I’m surprised many people haven’t seen it yet.

On Nov. 16, a mental health counselor recorded in Kamilla’s medical records that her mother reported the girl had lost her appetite after being “served food that contained worms.” A week later, the couple said, children were told to gather in the gym for what they believed would be a Thanksgiving celebration. Excitement spread as families saw tables set with turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, they said. The children waited expectantly. But when a parent asked when the celebration would begin, Oksana said, staff told them the holiday meal was for employees, not detainees. The children, she said, watched despondently as the feast was packed away.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.
The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.
But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
I’m finding it really funny that the sliding centre commentators have no idea who Flava Flav is. “There are some very exuberant fans out there tonight!”
A post on threads from user stephens_bens. It reads 'I'll always remember an interview with Steve Buscemi on Bulleye, Jesse Thorn asked him "As an actor with many decades of varied and outstanding roles across your career, does it ever bother you that one of the things you will most be remembered for is a 3-second gif in which you're wearing a backwards baseball cap and carrying a skateboard?" And without missing a beat, Buscemi replied "I'm carrying *two* skateboards." And you know what? He is.' Below that is a screen cap of Buscemi's famous "fellow kids" moment.
I never noticed this either.
Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.
He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

Exceptional stock photo use. 10/10.
Local newspaper story: Tables turn LLWCHWR Town Council has decided to stack its new Welfare Hall tables differently to see whether it would prevent them being damaged.
One of the classics doing the rounds again, and it would be rude not to.
[Someone managed to do a follow up with the clerk of the council, and they found out that the new stacking regime had been a success]
As Instagram starts trying to force ad payments, have a look at Foto if you’re into that sort of thing.

I finally decided to sell my last remaining drum (a 13” Noble & Cooley CD maple snare) from my music days, lifted it out of its case, gave it a single tap, and now I know I can’t sell it. Is it just me, or does everyone have some silly thing from their youth they can’t quite part with?
Nine years ago a Twitter user was sending poetry to Sadiq Khan about London’s many cultural identities. A decade on, Reform UK’s mayoral candidate doesn’t dispute it was her old account - so what’s changed?

In April 2024, Spotify implemented a new scheme: songs with less than 1k streams per year would no longer receive royalties.
The data for 2025 was just released via Luminate, and 88% of songs have been demonetized.
Read it again: 88% of songs on Spotify have been demonetized.

Well that’s my day sorted out for me tomorrow!
Woahhhhh. Now we’re talking. I think you may have just answered my question. Cheers!
That’s interesting. Thanks. Am I right to assumed that you then have to pay hosting to another company?
Yeah, that’s why I’m looking to move. For the two or three posts I do a year, it’s not worth what I’m paying but I like having a site. Something nice about having somewhere that isn’t full of ads etc to show my pics.
Does anyone on here have any tips for a cheaper alternative to squarespace? I’m paying too much for my site at the moment. 😕
Cheers bud!
My annual round up of the year in photos is now live on my site. Please do take a look.

Fireworks illuminate the sky as the clock in Big Ben strikes midnight
Absolutely freezing up here!
Haha! Shhhh…
Two cameras are mounted on a tripod system, pointed towards Big Ben and the London Eye, awaiting the fireworks show at midnight.
Cameras set up and ready for midnight from the roof of Westminster Abbey. It’s a little icy up here… Happy New Year!
And a power cut in Finland!
Still savouring the dataminr festive mute
I just rediscovered my old video diaries from a student round-the-world trip I did in the early 2000s. Aside from the rambling monologues of pretentious self-discovery, I sincerely regret buying and overusing a fisheye adapter for the camcorder at the very start of the journey. Gahhh!
Well done!
It seems that there’s a lot of hairspray down memory lane! 😂
