Thankfully, I am already pretty good at this part from what I have taught in the past. To quote one of my students this year "Can I sue *insert exam board name here*?" LOL

I graduated a physics PGCE when they were giving out Β£30,000 bursaries to train. I was not a fresh grad PGCE, I was also not eligible for the money. Didn't get a penny of it. I wonder how many people who did are still teachers?
Thank you, this one was already done. Between them and the IOP my life has been saved many times over!
I have always been more than happy to pay for resources lol so this endorsement works on me!
This works for cats too. Source: My personal account.
Thank you!

I am pleased with the past year. It has meant taking a break from my online activities, but being in a school where I am inspired by teaching again and seeing my commitment appreciated has turned my life around. I wasn't in terrible schools, so I didn't realise this was missing.

Are you a science and/or maths teacher looking for a new international teaching opportunity next year, or maybe even your first? I have a recommendation for you: tinyurl.com/yuvk989e #InternationalTeachers #teacher #education
Oh no :( my backups were lost, now I have to rebuild my site from scratch!
I see James Watson has died.
What did Watson discover?
Rosalind Franklin's lab notes.
Only we spell it 'S-T-E-A-L' these days.
I've always taught classes with heavy girl balances (nearly 50:50) and I wonder how much the fact I am the physics teacher helps that. When i was at school my teachers were very clear that physics was a subjects boys excelled at so girls should probably stick to other subjects and I am not that old!
I know I have shared it before, but I want to share FlippedAroundPhysics with you all again. This is an EXCELLENT resource and well worth paying for the answer access to! jihyeteaches.com/flipped-arou... #PhysicsEdu #EduSky
Hello, my Wonderful #Edusky! I am looking to expand my sources for reading journal articles and scholarly magazine articles. What free (or affordable sources do you use). Key areas of interest: Education in general, Secondary Ed, International teaching, SEND, EAL, Science Teaching.
Neurodivergent minds bring a wealth of innovation to science β but many still face barriers in workplaces built for neurotypical people. We explore how organisations are rethinking recruitment, communication and culture to become truly neuroinclusive.
Sometimes I feel really out of place in the international teaching community. I am not trying to make a tonne of money. I just want to teach, continue my career, and have a good (simple life). I have lots of local friends but work itself can feel lonely.

An if it isn't, it probably does not need "re-writing from the ground up". It almost certainly just needs clearer explanations or a couple of minor tweaks.
Thank you! It's worth checking out at least!
I don't suppose you know how it handles different accents? I work in an environment internationally with a lot of very strong accents and haven't had the most success with a lot of auto captions?
I thought I was reasonably tech savvy, but I didn't know about this? If this works even reasonably well it's amazing!
Sometimes I get exhausted by how often I am clearly overlooked for something simply because I am a woman, or a woman who doesn't fit a stereotype people are comfortable with.
So much this. So many educators do not believe me that the reason I get such good engagement and behaviour is simply by treating my students like (age-appropriate) humans. If i would react badly to something, why do I think they won't?
I have only three weeks left in my current job. After that, I'll take a short break to move, and then I'll start my brand-new job. The new job excitement is real, and it will hopefully give me more opportunity to focus on edu stuff!
I will never stop being confused by this? I am on bluesky in a number of different capacaties and I am not here to try and reach a marketing demographic. I am here because I like the nature and tools of the site, and can reach enough people in my niche to exist happily.
Perhaps controversial, but here is my next recommended resource for teachers... this time with a caveat or two. www.jihyeteaches.com/teachmate-ai/
jihyeteaches.com/tales-from-t... I will always be their favourite... until shift change.
