Apple's iPhone 17e gets MagSafe and A19, but it's not all good news MagSafe doesn't get full charging speeds, and the processor is once again a binned unit. Having twice the starting storage at the same price is nice, though.

Why is it silly? That's what a phone with an A18 in it costs and they have smaller screens and batteries, no keyboard or trackpad, etc.
I think you're right about 8GB and honestly, we might not even get 256GB in the base model. It could start at 128GB, with a 256GB version costing more.
