Reading the news while having just binged Tehran feels pretty surreal...
I'm not usually in favour of burning books, but this kind of attempt at indoctrinating our children with such propaganda is going too far!
How many different kinds of syntax does markdown need for admonitions/call outs, seriously π‘
Would be even better as a 1 vs. 1 sport. "Oh you're throwing a discus at me? Well take *THAT*!"
I'm thinking a "discus -> shot put -> hammer -> javelin -> shooting" pentathlon that would look like a conflict escalation.
Not the winningest verbing, I must say...
. @thealg0rithm.bsky.social covering CAF0 by Animals as Leaders using strudel.cc has to be the absolute nerdiest thing ever. In the best possible way of course. π€π»π€

A web form with a series of yes/no questions. One of them has the expected "yes"/"no" radio buttons, the others have "yes"/"no" checkboxes.
*eye twitch*
but... but... what if I want to output the string `@:>@`? π€
Who knew @legaleagle.tv had his own colour?
I guess I'll just need to take training seriously π
They seem highly trainable too. The local breeder here is really into dog shows (not my thing), and one of her dogs got selected as a scent dog for a local fire station to replace an aging golden retriever.
But yeah, I met one at the local dog park and the owner said it was the perfect family dog.
Haha all good, I appreciate the advice π I absolutely don't expect (nor do I want) a couch potato, so that's fine. They seem to require a bit less exercise than working dogs though (like border collies or shepherds).
That's errr... Good to know π
He's gorgeous π that's exactly the breed I want to get. Hopefully this year π€π»
May I ask what breed he is? I want to say Brittany spaniel...
A screenshot of Duolingo showing the word gojira and its Japanese spelling with katakana.
Alright, I think I've learnt enough Japanese now #gojira
It's in a beautiful building too...
A photo of the original "Ants on a MΓΆbius strip" artwork by M.C. Escher
Just came back from a month long trip to France and while in Paris I accidentally discovered there was an M.C. Escher exhibition. It was awesome to be able to see the originals of so many iconic images β₯οΈ
Highly recommended if you're in Paris: feverup.com/m/411573 (even my daughters like it!)
Same, looks interesting!
No, MORE wars!
Happy new year Australia!
Backwards compatibility is a blessing and a curse...
I have to mention @sebastianlague.bsky.social as well, for extremely engaging videos. Although they're very much their own genre at this point.
I really like the videos from @therustybits.com as well.
Oh wow, those blog posts are sleek!
Hmm, tricky but I want to say the first one maybe?
Maybe a tool like github.com/charmbracele... would help?
what's a bincode?
