I still really like this icon. It's probably the best icon commission I've received.

my moral standards prevent me from using the website with a built-in CSAM generator owned by one of the world's richest nazis, regardless of the "larger reach" I could obtain, and I encourage that mindset for everyone
However, this also granted me the opportunity to finally access the BIOS settings and enable auto-booting, scheduled and after power loss. So in the end, it all worked out.
Last night I thought I rebooted my home server, but it failed to come back up. I later found out I sent the wrong command to power it off. It was frustrating since physical access was inconvenient, and I wouldβve woken someone up that night had I tried.

To clarify. The point of this post is not to have sympathy for Discord. I donβt really care about their bottom line.
The point is the real issue is the push for age and identity verification is coming, and we need to focus our efforts on resisting it and repealing laws. Discord is a symptom.
On Discordβs side, the best we can do is get them to stop a global launch of age verification. In states and countries with such laws, there is little that they can do about it. We should be focusing our efforts on repealing those laws.
The problem with Discordβs recent attempt at age verification is that itβs
not completely their fault. Unlike NFTs and AI, this is the result of regulatory pressure. Discord is unlikely to back down from this.
These games are worth $0.
If I used it, my case is to prevent any and all use of Claude on my repos, for training or anything else.
The rejection string is intended for testing, but caught on as a way to deny Claude access to repositories. But itβs possible Anthropic will change or remove the string so you canβt (easily) do so.
How long until Anthropic changes or removes the magic refusal string? Iβm kind of wary of depending on it to reliably block Claude forever.
Where in the world did Fluxer come from? I didn't hear about it until a few days ago.
Screenshot of a macOS notification. Text reads: Support Ending for Intel-based Apps. This version of βHyperbeamβ will not open in a future release of macOS. Learn how to update to an Apple silicon version.
If you're wondering what the new message in macOS 26.4 for Intel-based apps looks like.
macOS 26.4 apparently contains a dialog for applications that won't work after the removal of Rosetta 2. But Apple has also said that Rosetta 2 will stay for "older games". So how are they determining what are old games and what isn't? #apple #macos
Just a little reminder that I have another account at @gay.ihaveahax.net for more explicit stuff, for those interested
Someone needs to hack the Switch 2 just so we can get the music from Mario Kart World.
There is no defensible reason to continue using Twitter, full stop. Get the fuck off that platform.
There's been a few claims of Switch 2 hacks and custom firmware lately. Most recent is an alleged "nand explorer", which is currently impossible. The UFS storage is encrypted, so direct access won't work without the keys, and there is still no software exploits to access the storage or get the keys.
Even just a social media page would be better, at least these can be searched for and accessed easily. Discord requires an account and joining a "server".
Anyway, this is your regular reminder that Discord is not a place to store information. Please put information on real websites. Even before the IPO filing, this was a very bad idea to do.
Discord is for live chat, and should only be used as such.
I have been informed on Mastodon that it's InterActual player.
(There is no real reason I need to know this, but it's still bothering me that I can't figure this out.)
I remember there used to be a Windows DVD player that would come on certain DVD movie releases. I'm pretty sure it had a logo with an "i" in a spotlight. Was this ever a thing? This is so hard to find online for some reason.
I upgraded it to 64gb ram mid-2024 so Iβm fine on that front.
My home server isn't particularly fast, it takes maybe 2 hours to build the kernel (so double that for the second one). But my home server is always on, so it can just go at it all night.
It's times like these I'm glad I got a home server that I can offload NixOS system builds to. I made a change that requires building the kernel (a patch to enable ntsync). It also has to build the Valve kernel separately for Steam Deck.
