I was going to say the purpose of increasing daylight is to justify making us work even longer hours, but since they want to replace us with AI I guess the plan is to keep us up because we don't consume useless products and websites while we sleep...

I think once you give over to the idea that Marty is an unlikeable protagonist and it's fine to cheer against him the movie gets better.

Yeah- I like him too and I feel like his best movies (Boogie Nights, There Will Be... The Master) are where he picks a tonal lane and stays with it.

He doesn't do hybrid well in my opinion.

Which is also exactly what i was thinking the entire time I watched "Marty Supreme"

I spent that whole movie thinking "this would've been 20x better if the Cohen's had done it instead."

I feel like PTA is almost always trying to get the absurd/dread/comedy balance that the Cohen's execute in their sleep and he never really nails it.

Frankenstein was beautiful to look at but ultimately I didn’t feel like it was a story that needed retelling.

One Battle… was good until it disappeared up its own ass like most PTA movies tend to (IMHO)
