To be clear: @jasmineforus.bsky.social is remarkable and I deeply admire her service and her fight. I'll vote for her in November in a heartbeat, if she wins today. She would be an incredible senator for all Texans.
Texas hasn't elected a Democrat statewide since 1994. @jamestalarico.bsky.social flipped a Trump district. He leads with faith, working people, and finding common ground—but not in a watered-down way. He can walk into a room with people who disagree and keep them engaged (or even convinced).

I need art galleries / art fairs to make themselves explicitly no-kids. Not because I mind the kids being there, but because I need them to save me from inflicting this upon myself. My kids + art fairs = not fun.
Parenting thought today: my biggest frustrations with my kids tend to be when they struggle with something I excel at, i.e. decision-making, moving fast, focus. Now trying to reframe these moments as reminders that 1/ they are not me and 2/ this is what I am supposed to teach.
