I've ended up picking up a few episodes of Archer. Somehow it's been long enough since I first watched it that I can now feel nostalgic for those earlier seasons

Death note by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The cover is largely black with a pink fog in the shape of a cross. In the centre is a boy in a cream jacket and red tie wielding a scythe. Behind him is a lanky man in black with a big grin.
Bit of a wild card. Got the urge to start reading this again back in September. Then forgot about it and finished it today. Lowkey fucked my reading speed stat on StoryGraph π

There's no way they do. Yet they're deluded enough to think they might get married
Silicon Valley can help the whole world by fucking off
Thanks I'll have a look!
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree sitting beside a black mug filled with tea on a coffee table.
Not getting the bus into work is doing wonders for every part of my life other than how many books I read π
This is my first step into cozy fantasy and I love it! It can be weird dealing with modern foods or devices in fantasy but Baldree pulls it off nicely

I canβt believe you lefty Luddites hate tech so much that you embrace mRNA vaccines, heat pumps, electric bikes, hybrid work, renewable power (and awesome advancements in storage), space telescopes, and hot/cold running water but reject the planet destroying plagiarism enrich the worst people bots!
Two people sit on a white wooden bench surrounded by pink and white flowers and the PokΓ©mon Luvdisc. One of them has bushy red hair and hold a sign with Regirock and the text "Un Un Un". The other is in a yellow jumper and has a beard.
A person with bushy red hair wearing a blue Psyduck hoodie hugs a giant inflatable Pikachu.
A picture of a theatre. On the stage is a large blue wooden slab with "My Neighbor Totoro" in white squiggly letters.
A haul of PokΓ©mon goodies on a white bed. There's a yellow Pikachu bag, a small plush Torterra, blue and green card sleeves, a mega Charizard Y pin, a box of cards with a gold Mega Lucario, and a play mat featuring Bulbasaur Charmander, and Squirtle battling in black and white comic strips.
Did you know there's a really autistic way to spend Valentine's day?

I've got a whole book written and waiting to be edited that I'm still not sure of what to call it
Ooh I think this is my favourite yet!
I lost my shit hearing you last night! It was not something I'd ever expected to hear!
This is why I eat my lunch at my desk while I work. Then I can read with my full attention for half an hour
I've only used Acrobat and I don't understand how somebody can think any of the recent changes can be good. All I want to do is read a PDF and they somehow made it an irritating thing to do???
I'm so glad I've read the manga already or I'd have had so much spoiled. I've been so excited to see this animated and it's a joy to see that hype among those watching for the first time
A Dance With Dragons I: Dreams and Dust by George R.R. Martin. An off-white cover featuring a bronze/gold shield with the likeness of a dragon.
Oh boy, maybe I'm getting the series finished just in time for Winds of Winter! Never know, might be any day now!
In all seriousness, still a cracking read and such a shame the TV series couldn't have done this justice in the end

Throughout a career in publishing, the commonest problem Iβve found in authors trying to break into the business is their fear of taking themselves seriously. If thatβs you, try this. (Little thread follows.)
1. Remove βaspiringβ or βwould-be writerβ from your bio. Replace it with βwriter.β
Up there with things like "X is overrated". There's probably a valid critique in there somewhere but the person saying it doesn't have the media literacy to properly express it
It's simply monstrous. I don't live in the US but the fact the population have somehow voted for this is terrifying

Honestly pretty good advice. I mostly do my writing on the bus. As I leave the house and get home late I don't have much time to write otherwise. Got my pace to about a thousand words an hour when I'm gunning for it
Accurate.

No snow in York either. Bloody typical
@mhdksafa for the record: cops aren't supposed to kill guilty people either (from 2023)
Here's an example: I was mid conversation with a colleague about work stuff, noticed it was quitting time so i simply said that I was leaving and leave I did.
Gods of The Wyrdwood by RJ Barker. A white cover with roots/branches making an abstract face
A page from God of The Wyrdwood with a bookmark of what I think is a bird skull. Beneath is written "To Harvey" with RJ Barker's autograph and his antlered stamp with his initials.
The last of my signed books from the worldbuilding panel back in October. This time instead of replacing wood with bone Barker has replaced steel with wood but still hasn't made getting wood easy. I rather like an older protagonist, makes a nice change in voice
