a pinkish-red nebula resembling a bird
IC 2177 - The Seagull in LRGBHOO
One of the first targets I captured with the Cat91 telescope, decided to revisit it and get some broadband data to mix in with the HOO data I already had from last year.
Captured from Starfront Remote Observatories

a yellow (false-color) nebula resembling the state of California
To California, from Kansas
NGC 1499, aka the California Nebula, in SHO. Just under 80hrs total exposure time, all from my backyard in Kansas.

a large supernova remnant consisting mostly of wispy red (hydrogen alpha) and blue (oxygen-III) filaments, with background red nebulosity
Another of my recent images and a rare backyard capture, this is ~100hrs on the Veil Nebula complex, a large supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus
Captured from my backyard with my Pleiades68 telescope

a region of red nebulosity surrounding an area of light blue nebulosity, lending it the name "Clamshell Nebula"
Been a bit lazy about posting here (and on editing images too tbh), so going to post some of my recent astrophotos that bluesky has missed.
First up, this is a two-panel mosaic of Sh2 119, aka the Clamshell Nebula, captured in HOO with RGB stars with my Cat91 telescope

"Deal" to reopen the government that doesn't guarantee ACA subsidies
Fell for it again award
All this just to fall for the same shit they did last time this happened. Same old Dem party I guess

a nebulous region of space in the constellation Cygnus, with red and blue wispy nebulosity throughout, and two main features: the crescent nebula, a nebula that looks like a brain with a blue shell in the upper left hand corner, and WR134, a blue, circular nebula in the bottom right hand corner
Catching up on editing some images. This is a cool region in the constellation Cygnus with two Wolf-Rayet stars, the ever-popular Crescent Nebula, aka NGC6888, in the top left and WR134 in the bottom right.
Captured from Starfront Remote with my Cat91 telescope

a bright pinkish red region of space vaguely resembling a butterfly, fading to a more blue and pink region in the bottom of the photo
Been a bit lazy about editing photos lately, but finally decided to finish one up.

a nebulous region of the Milky Way, with a blue nebula with a pink core in the bottom left (the Trifid Nebula), a pink region in the top middle (the Lagoon Nebula), which fades into a more yellow/brown region of the Milky Way core in the upper right
Another quick project now that the weather is finally getting better. M8 and M20, the Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae in LRGB. Dark skies and bright objects are basically a cheat code, making targets like this almost easy.

a dusty region near the Milky Way band, with a bright blue reflection nebula on the left and bright yellow on the right, with a dark nebula splitting the two
Another from Starfront Observatories, part of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex.

a large, dusty nebula resembling a horsehead, with a distinctive blue reflection nebula region around where the horse's eye would be
A quick two-panel mosaic on the Blue Horsehead nebula, shot from Starfront Observatories

a spiral galaxy in a sea of stars and smaller galaxies
a closer crop of the galaxy
Been a slow spring for astro but I finally got around to finishing an image. 75hrs on Messier 83, a very tough target from the northern hemisphere as it is pretty low in the sky.

A red and blue nebula in the constellation Monoceros, with a distinctive blue region and a lot of surrounding red nebulosity
My latest from Starfront Remote Observatories, Sh2-284
The main object in this image, Sh2-284, is interesting object that reminds me of another Sharpless object, the Lion Nebula, with its distinctive separation between an Oiii heavy region and an Ha heavy region

Double Sunrise: Like headlights through the fog, a rare sight through the morning's murk and mire. The crescent tips of an eclipsed sun break the horizon simultaneously, giving the illusion of two rising.
