it didnt work... :^( sad. all tires, no cheevo... selling/rebuying other tires doesnt do anything... the way these achievements are set up seems incompatible with the two methods of reobtaining the starter parts. which is weird!!! so curious about the inner workings here...

ok wow this process is crazy... if you have two memory cards with saves and two controllers plugged in, a 2-player option will appear on the title screen from nowhere. and then you have to select a racing versus mode, and then there's a Trade Items option wedged between all the tracks???

im trying to look up how to do this and im not finding anything... but i did find this

thats not so much Fun Police as much as its just useful info! it's definitely against the spirit of the thing so it'd make sense there's something in place to prevent it (even if it's just rules that have to be manually enforced)

... oh wait i forgot the achievement set requires the US game and when i streamed i was playing the PAL version. so i think my save wouldn't work. AHHHH!!!! whatever..... i lose....... its my punishment for carelessness..........

it sounds like there's nothing Technical that'd stop it from working but loading up a completed save and potentially suddenly unlocking a bunch of stuff at once would probably look Bad... i'll worry about this after finishing the rest of the set i guess...

how do retroachievements sets deal with save files... i wonder if i could just load up my old file from when i streamed it? i probably didnt sell the starter parts there... but also just loading up a complete save feels like it'd be an easy way to circumvent the whole system so maybe it doesnt work

i sold all my starter normal parts... you can get new normal parts from unequipping party members but they don't seem to count for the achievement for some reason.......... q_q
