SAM ALTMAN: "People talk about how
much energy it takes to train an Al model ... But
it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It
takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you
eat during that time before you get smart."
If a movie villain would have said something like this, people would have pointed out the fact that the dialogue is too heavy-handed.

Yeah, but that's relying on Bezos not being a dipshit, which apparently isn't the case.

I'm numb to stupid data models after seeing dates stored in INT columns in the form YYYYMMDD. Devs will do anything besides reading the documentation and making sane decisions. Also, I always like pulling the FLOAT 0.2 + 0.1 = 0.3 comparison whenever I find financial data stored in FLOAT columns :))

prompt: why haven't you included Vlad Drumea on that list?
Reply: Vlad,
I focused on a mix of longβstanding community figures and those who publish frequent, inβdepth technical content. Vladβ―Drumea is indeed a respected voice in the SQL Server spaceβhe runs the βSQL Server Centralβ blog, contributes to conference talks, and shares useful scripts and performance tips. He was simply omitted from the quick list I provided, not because his work is less valuable.
If youβd like, I can add him to the collection of recommended bloggers along with the others mentioned. Let me know if youβd like more details about his recent posts or any specific topics he covers.
So I just tested this... TIL I run the SQL Server Central blog. π
