I've been playing RoR2 recently and streaming it to friends on Discord and noticed that the higher my fps is, the more stuttery the game itself gets. If i enable vsync (my monitor is 75hz) or limit my fps to or below my my monitor's refresh rate then the game feels smooth.
Question for my Linux Wayland friends, specifically those on wlroots compositors but everyone is welcome (I am using river).
When screencasting a fullscreen application with screen tearing enabled, does it cause that application to stutter (for the people viewing the screencast its smooth)?
