What are our teams witnessing in #Lebanon? How is Doctors Without Borders responding? Jeremy Ristord, Country Director, updates on the situation and our activities:
MSF is alarmed by the dramatic escalation in conflict across the #MiddleEast.
We urge for the protection of civilians and healthcare facilities, as our teams adapt and scale up activities in #Iran and #Lebanon.

As the occupying power, Israeli authorities are obliged to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid. We call for a massive scale‑up of lifesaving aid and unhindered humanitarian access in #Gaza

Despite the Israeli government’s steps to prevent NGOs from responding to humanitarian catastrophe in #Palestine, Doctors Without Borders remains committed to providing assistance for as long as possible.

From Oct. 11, 2025, to Jan. 21, 2026, at least 216 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks near the yellow line, including 46 children and 28 women, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Since the ceasefire agreement on Oct. 10, 2025, the #GazaStrip is divided by a dangerous, ambiguous and ever-expanding “yellow line” controlled by the Israeli military. One side of the line is under Israeli military control pushing people of #Gaza into the remaining 42 per cent.
Four years of war in #Ukraine have devastated frontline communities and deepened the humanitarian needs of displaced people.
MSF continues to meet people’s increasing health needs by visiting shelters with mobile clinics: https://msf.exposure.co/life-above-all
Over 1,000 days of war in #Sudan.
Over 1,000 #measles patients treated by MSF in Al Nahda hospital.
Our teams are expanding isolation units, treating patients and supporting vaccination efforts, but the needs are urgent.
Felipe van Braak, Project Coordinator, updates:
#Sudan: MSF treated 167 patients injured in drone strikes over two weeks.
Among them was a nine-year-old boy with a large shrapnel wound to his eye, facial fractures and amputated fingers.

Suha Diab, our Advocacy Coordinator, left her scarf in #Sudan before the war and hoped that one day she might find it.

MSF launched a new emergency response in El Obeid, a city that is close to one of #Sudan’s most active frontlines.
We’re now providing water and sanitation services to families at the city’s main displacement site: www.doctorswithoutborders.ca/sudan-msf-la...
In the north of #Gaza, our teams treat more than 500 patients a day. We provide medical care to people living in dire conditions.
Watch Dr. Roberto Scaini, our Project Medical Referrent, explain Doctors Without Borders services and why people in Gaza need more humanitarian aid, not less.
“The biggest impact is not going to be on aid organizations. The biggest impact is going to be on the Palestinian people,” says @sana.msf.ca, our Executive Director.
Israel’s withholding of NGO registrations could end MSF’s operations in #Gaza by March 1: ca.news.yahoo.com/gaza-aid-und...

This year's #Superbowl halftime was a powerful reminder that choosing love and hope is an act of resistance.

Our teams are responding to the medical needs of Sudanese refugees in Tine and Oure Cassoni.
In Tine, nearly 4,000 refugees who have fled the violence in Darfur live in dire conditions in the saturated transit camp.
They are more than 100,000 in Oure Cassoni since 2025.
“The situation in Tine hospital is critical. We kept receiving patients presenting with massive bleeding and serious injuries. We are doing our best to stabilize and refer the patients but the hospital does not have the capacity to treat critical cases” - our staff in Tine.
Following two drone attacks in #Sudan, near the border with #Chad, 29 people sustaining injuries were referred to MSF supported hospital in Tine, eastern Chad.
Six people were reported killed during the attack and four more died in the hospital.

Water is critically limited. Our teams currently provide one in four people with drinking water through production and trucking.
As of the Dec. 31, 2025, our registration in Israel has expired and we will have to cease operations in #Palestine by March 1.
If Doctors Without Borders and other NGOs are forced to stop water activities in #Gaza, hundreds of thousands of people will lose access to drinking water.
