Yeah, that's exactly how it went for me as well. Started dubious, said I'd give it an episode. By the end, an unexpected joy~

I've been a Trek fan since I was a wee lad. It lifted my spirits countless times.
That being said, out of all the new shows, shockingly, Academy has given me that feeling again. Hope, optimism, and growth, despite the flaws. Didn't see it coming.
And these two are by far my favorite characters. 🥰🖖

I think characters and all the facets of them, and their journey too, are pretty much the most important things in a novel. It's easy to get lost in the world building and the glamor. But I'm with you 100% on this!

I have taken a couple of artistic liberty raptor orders in the past, but they all had a fantasy element to them, this is my first time taking a crack at making an "actual critter" of a dinosaur, how did I do?

Got frustrated trying to do some concept visualizing and fumbling around in blender, had to stop myself and say, "holy shit, I've been actually doing 3d things again!"

Very small, very incremental progress (not perfection) towards reclaiming a sense of artistic freedom and autonomy. It's healing..

Yeah, it's utterly striking out there... I think MT is one of the most naturally gorgeous states we've got. We almost went there last year but instead did that Utah trip, but I'd love to go back.
