The controls took some time to get used to. It felt good when it finally came together. I couldn't just press X 100x to win w/ occasional dodge. I loved all the deliberateness with the controls. I could see my improvement over time as I met the game where it was. I really hope it gets re-released!
It took me a while to click with it, but when it did, it was MAGIC! Dodge early. Don't overcommit. And DANCE! I absolutely LOVE when Capcom gets experimental. I always hold PN03 up alongside Dragon's Dogma, and Dark Void as some of my favorites! I thought THIS is how a 3D Megaman should play!
The only shooter I was ever any good at. A health bar, you didn't die in 1-shot or lose ALL your guns, creating a death spiral from which there was no recovery or return.
The weapons shop was pretty novel, too, letting you pick what kind of guns you preferred.
Isn't there a remake coming out soon?

Back before the internet, when bulletin board systems were the way to spread Shareware, I found a lot of copies and imitators of classic games like Pac-Man, Bomberman, or Donkey Kong. Original non-Super Mario Bros. was another common game young programmers would duplicate or emulate to learn coding.

I was a big user of Kali, back in the '90s for long-range LAN parties. I tried firing it up a few months ago, in the hopes of getting some older games running, but couldn't manage to get them to work. Are there any other good LAN emulator or solutions for modern games?
