Kind of makes me want to play an ARG overlay-based RPG. I couldn't get into Ingress back in the day and I bounced off Pokemon Go pretty quick after the initial hype, but a grid based tactics type situation seems pretty rad.

oh, that's really interesting. I guess we gotta try the FF4 DS adaptation sometime in the next 12 years.

I'm looking forward to that one! We just finished recording our very last FF4 The After Years episode and are extremely excited to be finished with that game. Four more episodes before the podcast is done with it, though. :/

I watched it! It was relatively tame for Deadpool dialog but damn that guy's always kinda horny in the most off-putting way possible

I hear a lot of good things about the mana games. may have to do a poll at some point on whether to tackle a final mana-cast or final saga-cast once our mission here is complete

it would be fun to check out things that were inspired by FF like that. there's always a back-and-forth in my head about how much time to spend on "side quest" materials since there's so much mainline game left ahead of us.

so far pretty accurate. I look forward to understanding some of these jokes. also seeing it laid out this way makes me realize we're like a quarter of the way through the FF series if you just count the mainline titles. that's something.
