Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...

- Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist

Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.

nytimes: What to know about the report.
Job growth fizzled in February, a sign of unexpected weakness in the labor market.
Employers cut 92,000 jobs in February, the Labor Department reported on Friday, and the unemployment rate rose to 4.4 percent.
The job losses cut across nearly all major sectors, including health care, which was weighed down by a nurses strike in California.

White House Says We Had to Bomb Iran Because Trump Had a β€œFeeling” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had a shocking explanation for why the U.S. launched a new war in the Middle East.

β€œThe president had a feeling, again, based on fact, that Iran was going to strike the United States, was going to strike our assets in the region, and he made a determination to launch Operation Epic Fury based on all of those reasons,” Leavitt said.

I'm reminded of how many web frameworks there are and that those that survived exist do so because they took a principled "this is how we do this" stance. Just think of Django vs. Flask.

My prediction for 2026 is that a similar thing will happen for agentic frameworks.

YouTuber MKBHD says Tesla 'stopped talking to me' ahead of his new Model Y Performance review Marques Brownlee, the wildly popular YouTuber known as MKBHD, said Tesla won't answer his messages.

The last time an EV maker stopped returning MKBHD's calls, they were bankrupt within a year.πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ

Tesla is sitting on a giant pile of cash thanks to all their "genius" investors, so I don't think that'll happen here.

I'm guessing they're still salty about his honest review of the Xiaomi SU7?

211. Making Sense of the Tariffs Ruling Friday's 6-3 ruling reflects an emphatic repudiation of a specific claim of delegated statutory authority by the Trump administration. Folks should be wary about reading it as moreβ€”or lessβ€”than that.

As is usually the case, Steve Vladeck in One First provides a more detailed & grounded analysis of #SCOTUS #Tariff decision open.substack.com/pub/stevevla...

The Germans & French didn’t believe it, at least partly because: β€œThey remembered the dubious intelligence case presented to justify the invasion of Iraq two decades previously, and were wary of trusting the Americans on what seemed like a fantastical prediction.”

Trump has never said anything as critical about Vladimir Putin or any Russian war criminal as he did today about the majority on the US Supreme Court.
