Hi there! ππ» Iβm a jackal who tames digital βοΈs by day and often πs, π‘s or πΏs by night for bringing a good πΆ time. But I'm not a miracle worker. Well...not always. π ππ° @seki.bnuy.ca

Itβs simple and not really innovative, but thatβs still saving me lots of time and old used Android devices can be found quickly and cheaply. So, perfect for quick, inexpensive turnarounds while being a bit more green with operations. β¨
Hereβs a lilβ script thingy I made that uses the FreeKiosk project to provision Android devices as locked down and remotely managed stage timers.
Combine that with your own instance of Ontime and youβve got a killer setup to coordinate DJs on stage. owo

But for real, thatβs amazing and Iβm proud of you too!
While I didnβt learn Japanese still, Iβve been told (and it looks like it too) that itβs pretty hard to learn. So, itβs quite the achievement!
Sex is pretty cool, but have you ever had your Japanese teacher tell you theyβre proud of you?
For real, Iβm quite interested in seeing how the season goes. I lightly followed the subject of the new carsβ changes and Iβm quite intrigued to see whatβs gonna be resulting from them. π

Pew Research survey of 25 countries asking people whether their fellow citizens are morally good or bad.
Not sure I expected the US and Canada to be at the literal two opposite extremes!
Big differences in Europe too that I donβt totally understand.
I may or may not have discovered a bunch of them through @justingarrison.com. He compiled a bunch of them in his awesome-tuis repository.
github.com/rothgar/awes...
Still, hereβs some notable examples about TUIs that I liked.
github.com/aristocratos... (resource monitor in case youβre not using Mission Center)
bold-brew.com (Homebrew package management)
github.com/grouzen/fram... (for Framework laptops)
github.com/litescript/l... (NASAβs Deep Space net)
Not gonna lie, terminal-based UIs (TUIs) have comme a long way. Most of them have mouse support.
If your issue is with the fact it doesnβt draw the nice panels of native desktop apps, thatβs not going to be fixed. Itβs the nature of what it is: Printing characters on a fixed grid.
It does re-use the SteamVR client in the end btw! Just not the game runtime.
So, you keep your space configuration, your controller and accessories bindings and so on. Even the virtual environments that exists between your games is still there so that it doesnβt become jarring with a grey screen.
I used this documentation for setting up my stuff with my HTC Vive Pro Eye on Bazzite Linux.

I am only left with getting eye tracking working which I am currently at a loss right now on how to get that working.
I suppose Valve donβt release much love patches for Linux-based VR use until the Steam Frame is out.
But until then, setting up another runtime like Monado works shockingly well.
I think I actually have a better performance with that on Linux than SteamVR on Windows.
Itβs pretty interesting how well PCVR runs on Linux but itβs not a Todd Howard worthy « It just works!Β Β» experience.
Although, that is if youβre not using SteamVR. The standard SteamVR runtime unfortunately isnβt working as well as it should.

I'm catching up on #ASOT episodes this week and it just occured to me with episode 1258 that the show is 25 years old. O.o
I've been listening to that show for most of my life and it still felt like it was a recent thing. I'm so old. π«

This is the same logic people give for trusting AI; βThe opinion of the majority is most likely to be trueβ

Ah, yes, the invaluable wisdom of the markets.
I think one of the things that bothers me the most about the way Polymarket presents itself to the world is that it's adopted the language of journalism to make itself sound more legitimate. Like look at this post from yesterday morning incorrectly "projecting" the winner.
A graphic titled βLongevityβ explains that the MacBook Neo was assessed in a reliability testing lab using methods that simulate real customer use. It also states the laptop was designed for repairability with screw-based assembly, easier access, and minimal tools, with links to learn more and see repair options.
Apple claim's that the Neo is built for repairability. We hope that means no more soldered down storage and lack of upgradeability!
