At the Ukraine-Poland border, Nina and Viktoria became some of the first Alight Guides for families fleeing war.
With patience and compassion, they created a soft place to land, offering guidance and comfort to pause before taking the next step forward. πŸ’›

It was incredibly meaningful to have The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Questscope’s Youth Center at Za’atari Refugee Camp last week. Their time with Syrian refugee youth brought joy and energy to the community and reminded young people of the strength and potential they carry within themselves. πŸ’›

Somalia faces 'food crisis' after lifesaving US grants hit their end Organizations have begun to receive notice that once their awards run out, there will be no more U.S. funds coming their way.

Over the weekend, funding ended for 13 nutrition centers supported by Alight in Somalia. β€œSuddenly, we have to close all these facilities,” said Adan Adar, Alight’s Executive Director for the Horn of Africa.
More than 980K people risk losing access to critical services.

Salome Byenda, β€œMama SalomΓ©,” is a force behind Asili in DRC.
With songs and a megaphone, she promotes free health care and teaches children proper handwashing to prevent disease. She gives her time and heart, and her community gains health and strong female leadership.

Dr. Patricia Walker was a third-year medical student when she joined ARC 15 at Khao-I-Dang Refugee Camp in 1979. She trained Cambodian refugees as medics, ensuring care would last beyond volunteers’ time. πŸ’› Her legacy still shapes Alight’s community-centered work worldwide. 🌍

Many who shaped Alight from the very beginning were women - doctors, nurses, community leaders, teachers.
This #InternationalWomensDay, we honor the women who built Alight’s past and continue shaping its future.
In the coming days, we’ll highlight a few remarkable #WomenofAlight.
