Saw a review that as an album it's also very hard to gig anywhere other than large venues because of the vocal arrangement in a lot of it
My reaction to it was largely ambivalence
My wife's reaction was "if you did similar stuff to me I would choose a different way to eviscerate you"
My bafflement and anger are competing hard for primacy in visceral reactions to this one

10 years off Facebook now and the only difference in my life is friends who really care about me know to email or call me to invite me to things, otherwise the immersion I once had in it is absent completely, looking back it seems so odd, it was bizarrely central to me but now entirely gone

When you're more afraid of HMRC than the IRGC...
Went for an eye patch and a sign that says "I don't know how to make boats" so he could be Polyphemus from the Odyssey
A small girl wearing a rabbit costume and blue coat carries a book as she walks to school. Her mother (head out of shot) wheels her baby brother along in a pushchair. The baby says "Peter Rabbit may be the 'Hero' of the story, but surely the obedient, widowed Mrs Rabbit is a more effective symbol of the oppression inherent within Mister McGregor's regime" The girls looks furious and snaps "Mum!! He's critiquing my world book day costume from a marxist perspective again!"
A cartoon reminder that tomorrow is World Book Day (In the UK anyway). Originally for the @theguardian.com
such a power move to start the hymn Jerusalem with "and". All these other hymns are like "ooh hallelujah" and "ahh almighty" but Jerusalem's just like "WE'RE MIDWAY THROUGH A CONVERSATION ABOUT ANCIENT FEET. GET ON BOARD"
Our WhatsApp is full of people shuffling costumes around to mums and dads who can't afford one or whose kids changed their mind at the last minute
It's nice, it's wholesome, it doesn't have to be class war
Happens more than you'd think
Three panel comic. Panel 1: people playing basketball in front of a crowd. The player with the ball is up against a guy playing close defense. Panel 2: the player attempts to spin off the defender by shoulder checking him, but the defender immediately falls apart, revealing multiple little green elves. Panel 3: the first player looks astounded at the floor. On it is a group of mildly injured elves surrounded by pieces of a human costume. This was pretty challenging to type out in text form but I tried my best

Yes! Can absolutely see her accidentally boarding a boat to Troy thinking it's a shortcut to completing a task and then looking back confusedly when the subsequent war continues for years
Cartoon titled "know the work rules". The first panel, labeled "appropriate" depicts Garfield the cat in a business suit leaning around the edge of a cubicle and pointing to a woman at her desk while saying, "coffee lasagna Mondays am I right?" to which the woman responds, hands clasped together, "awww you're so funny" The second panel, labeled "inappropriate", depicts a far side cow leaning around the edge of the same cubicle and speaking with a word bubble which contains only the shapes of the 4 cow tools. The woman fearfully picks up the Phone and says, "hello , complaint department??!"

Politely fried tf outta my man
Menelaus: So let me get this straight, your wife just absconded with that youth and now you want me to raise an army and besiege Troy?
Alex Horne: All the information is on the task
Greg: a group task now I think
Alex: here's Helen and Odysseus
Greg: Odysseus, when you heard Helen outside the horse speaking in the voices of your other team members' wives, was that a helpful thing for a team member to do?
Helen, butting in: I hatched from an egg! These tasks are confusing!

An image of the wrestler Sting, a large man with striking face paint, with the text "I don't think I'm supposed to be in this joke" superimposed over him
The image of Celine Dion, a famous french Canadian singer, looking concerned whilst on a telephone with a windy cord. The text "je telephone a la police" is superimposed over the image
You can't convince me the guy on the right isn't Jamie Oliver
I am not dunking on this account but it's important to explain a couple of things that they haven't understood.
There are only two ways to defend against a ballistic missile. Either shoot it down, or stop it launching.
We're not in a position to do the first, which leaves only the second. 1/n
