This is very funny to me. I suppose my face really is getting shot through with radiation.

The top of that pyramid makes me unbearably anxious.

No good can come from another round of “these nerds think AI is alive” discourse. Don’t engage. Save yourself. Eat some chocolate, watch your favorite movie. Do you realize how much more fun that is than yelling at strangers about a topic no one in the world understands?

This made me laugh.

Hm... I haven’t had a headache in 2.5 days, which makes me wonder if the first surgery worked and the recovery window was delayed (which happens!).

Whatever! A famous doctor told me: “What the fuck does it matter which surgery worked? Get the second.” So we’re driving across LA to get lasers baby!

One of the most captivating little turns of phrase in Gravity's Rainbow goes "barrage balloons to populate fat and friendly the daybreak." I think about its construction all the time, whenever I want to write a better sentence.

I fear "riding in a golf cart fatly" is now forever its twin.

What has always bothered me about the name James is that it is neither one or two syllables long but a secret, possibly gnostic, third thing.

There’s a local company in Pittsburgh called RickJohn Roofing, and every time we’d drive past one of their signs my ex would shout “RickJohn! RICKJOHN!” in this bizarre affectation not unlike Chappelle’s RICK JAMES!

So it is impossible for me to read Markwayne in any other voice. MARKWAYNE!

The procedure is at 8:15am tomorrow. I’ll probably get out 10am, maybe 11am. I plan to drive directly to the gym.

Oh yeah I clocked that he was probably on a GLP-1 as far back as two or three months ago. He should be fairly svelte in about a year if he keeps going.

I am not kidding when I say that the community of people here I’ve gotten to know over the last year+ has been one of the greatest pillars of support in my life.

It’s really not easy to get out of the house like this, but I’ve got a few thousand of you keeping hope alive right from home.

My medical expenses are so high that my insurance provider has started calling every few days to introduce me to a team of “experts in medical decision making.”

I tell them that I love a good joke as much as the next guy, but please do not to call again. Nevertheless they persist.

The Infinite Scroll by Kate Glenn on Apple Music Playlist · 46 Songs

I put the original Adele version in this playlist which honestly has several good candidates for songs we can cry to. I also just added one that @slothropsmap.bsky.social noted in that thread, TV by Billie Eilish.
