Merry Christmas, hope anyone who's ever interacted with me is doing well. Lots of stuff looking bleak as of late throughout the world. Here's to hopefully a brighter future. Time to go to bed and spend time with the family tomorrow before a Friday work day, then driving to see Porter on Saturday.
Umamusume has been a ton of fun... Now if only I can get some more 3* sparks... Got the MLB kitisan just this morning...
I'd code if anyone still needs someone with MLB kitisan for their career runs:
295263105248
Also Daiwa Scarlet with 5* power and 3* stamina.
Life update. Got the cert, new job going well. Mostly training/ shadowing. started a little work here and there.
Horse game happened. I said I'd never play anither gacha after dragalia lost. friends were playing at a party. I caved and I'm shocked how much I'm enjoying horse racing game...
Last day at my current job to start working at a new place next week.
It at least got me to open the game to make sure I could run it on my Linux machine now. Didn't realize EasyAntiCheat seems to be compatible with proton (forgot its incorporated I to helldivers 2).
Its gotten me curious to go back but I will probably wait until said update
That's unfortunate.
Yeah... That sounds about right.
Time to install Linux on the laptop.
Nice. I installed Fedora KDE on my laptop to give that a run, and I'm considering moving my desktop over to that this weekend. Really helps to have everything on a separate drive so you don't have to worry about documents and stuff getting nuked. lol
I'm finding it really helps to have multiple systems that you can use one for experimentation and another for a stable, I know what I want to config and then do all said configuration and maintain it. definitely helps to also have a separate drive with all your actual files saved on it haha.
Granted the VRR support is still experimental, but I was able to run a single command via terminal and my experience with my 120 hz monitors have been incredible. The VRR support might have been with multiple monitors...? I'm looking at trying Fedora 42 KDE on my laptop to see how I like that.
From what I've been gathering, the more bleeding edge distros have support for features like HDR and such. When I nuked my windows on accident I went to Linux mint but learned that out of the box it's doesn't support alot of newer things. Moved to Ubunti 25.04 which has gnome 48 and supports VRR.
I had a similar experience going to a different disrto a few weeks back. Not sure what that was about. The next time I tried another distro is was fine. Could likely be the installer
Thats unfortunate. Maybe soon!? Been recently running Ubuntu to get varriable refresh rate running on my machine. After a swap over to a Radeon RX 7090 xt things have been smooth as butter. Been trying to keep track of all that I'm using and then researching other distros to try down the road.
Hell yes to this spin
the you that remains
Welp. The Linux mint install is still alive. Ran into weird stuff with refresh rates with a portrait monitor (locked to basically what feels like 60 htz vs 120). Wondering if it's just because Nvidia gpu shenanigans. considering running out to grab a newer AMD gpu if the local microcenter has one...
Sunday was a fun day
Accidently blew up my windows boot record trying to dual boot Linux & windows. Good thing all my actual files were on separate drives... Was going to wait for the next computer to take the plunge...
Here's to hoping not too much tinkering has to happen on the weekdays...
Yuck. Is that what I have to look forward too? Lovely. Hoping I don't mind that all that much but we'll see
Screw seasonal allergies. Curse you pollen!
Grey toad sitting on pottery outside
Grey toad sitting on pottery outside. Head-on angle with the frog staring down the camera.
Also not much of a frog/toad person. But this little guy showed up outside soaking in the sun
Got a whiteboard that hangs up near my bed / desk. The constant reminder of whatever I put on there as a, "hey you could be doing this" instead of ignoring things I should be doing is such a nice reminder.
Am I hearing a VIP or sequel to backbeat maniac (track #2 in the mix?).
Very exciting can't wait to hear everything in full!
Just realized such a rookie error that I made configuring the simplest of DNS settings for the family home network.... dang it.
need to find the time to shuffle practice more.... someday want to figure out a quick & easy way for me to record, quickly edit in audio for socials and upload. Other things like work / commitments and trying to learn new IT stuff take priority. One day...
New mouse pad and skates for the g502x. Ah... So smooth. I might have to adjust some camera settings...
