“I won’t buy an EV because I can’t charge at home” is a hilarious take.
DO YOU HAVE A PETROL BOWSER AT HOME?!?!?!

Concerning story about masses of fake news about Australian politics being posted to Facebook by foreign accounts.
Be careful out there!
People are actively trying to manipulate you with lies.

US Markets Overnight:
- War continues. Oil goes up, Dow goes down.
- Trump goes on TV, says war practically over. Oil goes down, Dow goes up.
Wild how the US financial establishment seems to assume he’s telling the truth, not manipulating.
Now to see if the rest of the world believes too.
Things look grim in the markets right now, but at least the U.S. economy wasn’t already being propped up by a massive speculative AI bubble that is highly sensitive to rising energy costs.
someone at the pentagon frantically typing “Claude, open the strait of Hormuz for me, quickest possible strategy, make no mistakes.”
So according to the WSJ a US Senator conspired with another country to manipulate the US into starting a war, am I getting this right
Admire your dedication in that weather
The lads playing in the front yard.
Wallabies are the best.
The PM may be lying, and may not.
How he’s described the situation (not as “observers”) sounds reasonable to me given what I’d assume the ADF rules of engagement to be in this situation, where Australia has not declared war on Iran.
I have confidence in the Guardian to correctly quote the PM.
Yes, I share those concerns 100%.
It makes sense for us to collaborate closely with our allies, who we ally with on the basis of shared values.
I think this incident exposed a new depth of depravity from the USA admin, and yet another reason to roll back the depth of military cooperation (for now).

I don’t see how complicity can be argued if we didn’t know it was going to happen and our personnel were basically stuck on board and not part of the action. They were witnesses at an unexpected crime.
Now that this event has happened, we 100% should remove all personnel from USA secondments.
A new podcast, hosted by yours truly, coming soon...
LLM-based AIs are *actors*.
Do you hope Colin Firth has recovered from his performance anxiety after ‘The King’s Speech’?
No, because you understand he was acting.
LLM AIs don’t “think”.
They just output.
They are trained to output stuff that makes YOU think that they think.

I only heard two of those:
- Won’t confirm or deny
- Onboard but not involved
When and by whom were the other two said?

Here’s hoping for a Streisand Effect, with attendance at Quaker authoritarian resistance training increasing tenfold. 🤞

WAR CRIME BY THE US.
An unarmed Iranian ship was takIng part in an Indian naval exercise, alongside the US.
The US withdrew and torpedoed the Iranian ship.
THEN the US refused to rescue the sailors, letting them drown.
This is treachery, cowardice, cruelty and a war crime of the highest order.
Word from Defence is that the Australians were not involved. They were on board, but specifically not part of this action. I know that may not be much better, but I think it’s important to be accurate. Australians did not have a literal hand in this war crime. (Apparently.)
It is satire, with two levels of ridicule:
1. That bombing another country will change it into whatever the USA wants it to be.
2. That the USA administration cares about equality or church/state separation in any way at all.
If you took $1 billion and gave it to the endowment of a different small college each day, they could each provide a free college education to several hundred students per year in perpetuity. Instead we are using that money to bomb schools and kill students in Iran, for no clearly stated purpose.
The last photo of Mikaeil Mirdoraghi, a third-grade student killed in the reported U.S./Israeli strike on a primary school in Minab, Iran.
He is waving goodbye to his mother.
Great stuff.
Israel is demanding that everyone leave South Beirut, so they can level it like they did to Gaza.
Beirut is 536km from Israel.
Israel should not be there.

For two year old ones in good nick, I’d expect you could get closer to the retail price (3/4 maybe?), but I’m not sure if FB marketplace would be the right market as I find there people tend to be looking for bargains. EBay or Gumtree might be better for stuff with good value.
