It was a rage bait PR stunt that kinda worked.
The Hawks haven’t been talked about this much since they traded Dominique Wilkins

As we all know, when you meet someone at a bar they are legally obliged to tell you the truth about their entire life.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became an adult I. ABSOLUTELY. UNDERSTOOD. why people on "The Price Is Right" were SO HAPPY to get appliances.

People may believe they’re being righteous, sharing false information & doctored images. “‘In the moments where it matters most,’ DiResta says, ‘You’ll see people do the least amount of checking.’”
Me and who
With tech people get information faster but get facts and context much more slowly than they used to.
That’s why political distractions work.
Still crazy that the president’s lawyer spent two days with Ghislaine Maxwell, she “cleared” him of wrongdoing and was almost immediately transferred to a more pleasant prison and nobody in the administration will explain it and the media acts like two large dots are just impossible to connect.
Them getting rid of the EV tax credit and then starting a war in the Middle East is diabolical

Hard Truth: Maybe they just didn’t like you enough.
We can spend hours trying to decode someone. Maybe it’s their childhood. Maybe it’s their ex. Maybe they’re “not used to healthy”. We tell ourselves there has to be a deeper reason for the inconsistency. A softer explanation for the lack of effort. But sometimes there isn’t.
Sometimes it really is that simple. If they wanted to call, they would. If they wanted to plan, they would. If they wanted to show up differently, they would. Not everything is trauma. Not everything is timing. Sometimes it’s just a lack of desire or interest.
Sometimes, it really is that simple. 🤷🏽♀️
Don’t even look right on him

"When people like Kamala Harris send our sons and daughters, our young people, to fight in stupid wars, it is the young generation that carries the burden of that. We're gonna stop sending our young people to far away lands. We are not the policemen of the world."

It seems like it’s hard for Steve Carell not to be a character that is part Michael Scott or part the 40 Year Old Virgin but then again why should he?
Yup! The first episode premiered Sunday
I’m watching this Steve Carell show and his character is at a small liberal arts college that I can’t help but think is modeled after Denison
Choosing his son to take over, means you already know he’s going to turn up. That man will be out for blood.
Yup. Nobody treats someone they value that way.
The jump in gas and heating oil prices is just the start, wait until the "transportation surcharges" start to hit on just about everything.
AOC: The Pentagon has not passed an audit, and they are out here trying to kick people with disabilities off of Medicaid. It is corruption that is stealing from the public coffers — and that is the actual waste, fraud, and abuse.
Well, this aged exactly how I was afraid it would

Baby Keem’s album was at least as good if nit better than J. Cole’s but the numbers are no where close.
Cole built a strong fanbase
Baby Keem's album 'Ca$ino' debuts at #1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with 72,000 units. The project also launches at #4 on the Billboard 200 and earns Keem his first leader on the rap chart.
I think this deserves at least as much sustained attention from US media as Claudine Gay's dissertation
It would be only fair to the reader to say frankly in advance that the attitude of any person toward this story will be distinctly influenced by his theories of the Negro race. If he believes that the Negro in America and in general is an average and ordinary human being, who under given environment develops like other human beings, then he will read this story and judge it by the facts adduced. If, however, he regards the Negro as a distinctly inferior creation, who can never successfully take part in modern civilization and whose emancipation and enfranchisement were gestures against nature, then he will need something more than the sort of facts that I have set down. But this latter person, I am not trying to convince. I am simply pointing out these two points of view, so obvious to Americans, and then without further ado, I am assuming the truth of the first. In fine, I am going to tell this story as though Negroes were ordinary human beings, realizing that this attitude will from the first seriously curtail my audience. W. E. BURGHARDT DU BOIS Atlanta, December, 1934
I'd forgotten how hard the preface to DuBois's "Black Reconstruction" (1934) went...and am saddened by how contemporary it still feels.
