Oh hey they released my stretch goal for blades '68 - let me write some in-world political pamplets for your game
@wulfboyraff
(He/Him). Roleplaying stuff. Lefty. Thoroughly enjoyed 4e D&D. The Fog is one of the best horror movies ever made. Can't get enough Forged in the Dark and random indie #ttrpg. Also can't be making up a new profile at my time of life.

It's an OSR thing where each player plays multiple 0-level characters who die like bugs until you are left (hopefully) with only one, who then levels to level 1 and becomes your PC. Basically. Very popular with Dungeon Crawl Classics.
... quiet you
I've spent two hours or so rewriting all the backgrounds for the game and now there are 36 of them and *this is why I should not be allowed to do #ttrpg prep unsupervised ffs*.
So I was casually organising some information for a new game tomorrow, putting things into a google doc for easy finding, and I wrote "of course you could roll your background randomly :)" and then I saw there were 25 which you can't roll but if there were 36 you could roll d36 and long story short
There's a bit where she confronts her new friend about what has happened and how he's granted her wish or something, and he shrugs and says "you hate your friends" and she just stares at him. Pure gold.
Nah. The main guy in these new shows is usually is too young and smooth skinned.
Can't believe they missed off
* Knock And Go Stabbin
* Slate Chucking
* Gravel Pit Pushabout
* Dickos Inna Well
* Slamfinger
And my personal favourite
* Cry And Run Home
"Hmm for four players I think the maths tells me I need a choice of at least twenty playable ancestries so I should spend the next day obsessively working on that."
This is what peak GM Prep performance looks like. I'm still not sure what adventure I will be running.
geographically isolated grog community? what could possibly go wrong
(choose your own adventure from: Lord of the Flies, Wicker Man, Dr Moreau, Isle of Dread, Kong: Skull Island, Send Help, Swiss Family Robinson, Gulliver, Jurassic Park, any Sinbad, Argonauts or the one that's a FedEx advert)
Tom Bombadilf Day cannot be far away.
Good show. Just remember to take care crossing The Courtyard.
Anyone fancy taking a gander thru the ashcan of my latest game design? looking for feedback (any contributors will be credited appropriately)
This is the Hearts based trick style card TTRPG I've mentioned a few times recently

It took me a couple videos to twig to it myself and I'm not new here.
I don't know who keeps doing this but you have to stop I'm begging you
Okay Raff today would be the ideal day to write up that Bump in the Dark scenario based on that dream, the one you used for Dekta Green character backstory, about a troupe of boy scouts, a deep woods cannibal spirit, and some park rangers.
Or you could just mope in bed I guess?
"The One Where..." lives rent free in my brain to this day for some reason.
Did a rewatch a couple years ago (YouTube I think). Genuinely still think about some episodes from time to time, especially the Friends episode. Ace low-res horror anthology from Ancient Days before we had all this News.
it's bandcamp friday, where all the bands go out and set up little tents in the woods
and the bass player kicks their map into the river
and a guitarist disappears, but later they find his tongue, I think
Is this a thing?
A Crowleyan mystic goes on a self-discovery road trip and ends up on the run from the cops.
Thelema and Louise
Today I have learned that βcadaver ottersβ exist.
They are trained to bring bodies up from murky and dangerous water unsuitable for human divers.
I like to think they follow in the footsteps of a wild otter who just kept bringing someone corpses.
Spring nearly here so why not a lovely poem about the complex relationship between Arrhurian knights and nature slowly waking up again?
#ThisBetterNotAwakenAnything
Not official , not yet. It's been something we've talked about a little but is currently on the "too much effort" list sadly.
Incidentally, this made me think of Taskmaster where almost without fail a recent series will introduce me to someone very funny I'd never heard of before.
Promising myself that *this* time I will not waste hours of #ttrpg prep time trying to find the exact perfect battle map of a flooded temple and the perfect undead giant crocodile token on Google Images and instead just bang them out in PAINT like a sane person.
Obviously you don't *have* to move to a strange, isolated town in the desert.
You don't *have* to...
Bloody techbros
People talking over each other is a pain - especially if someone is even mildly out of synch with someone else. Not being able to actually see people is surprisingly annoying. The real difficulty of side-talk especially when the spotlight shifts can make online sessions more stilted than f2f games.
"We need these done for when the vallorn or the mole people attack."
"Or both."
"Oh man yeah! Do you focus on the mole people or the tree monsters - profound decision right there!"
#NoContextWorkExchanges
Yes! There is like one good Bond movie and the rest are dross.
