Aye. I re-read the books every few years and tinker with the system a little and then move on. Uneven as heck but still something there.
@wulfboyraff
(He/Him). Roleplaying stuff. Lefty. Thoroughly enjoyed 4e D&D. The Fog is one of the best horror movies ever made. Can't get enough Forged in the Dark and random indie #ttrpg. Also can't be making up a new profile at my time of life.

In a way, isn't *all* GURPS actually TORG? Aaah-ahh.
The problem there would be that you'd spend half your time fighting off people who assume you're running yet another Harry-Potter-from-Wish live roleplaying game. And with "Dungeon Master University" on the fliers, they'd likely ne the scary kind of knock-off Potter larpers.
I'm joshing. I had a lot of fun with TORG in ancient days but the system, even in i finite, can still get in the way like only a 90s game system can.
If theres one thing I learned as a writing guy is that if you're ballsy enough with your font size you can get a lot of words onto 40 pages.
DIE in an alley.
T&T in a B&B
Like it. If it doesn't work out at the table you can still use it to better a burglar into submission.
"Counting too many screws"
Things equally acceptable in hardware and vice.
Ah, I see. Presumably you are just adapting it to work with that most universal of systems, GURPS.
(I considered DnD 5e but that was too obvious)
D&D Polytechnic for me. I'm going to do a HND in Applied Adversarial GMing ๐
D&D in an abandoned theme park you get driven to blindfolded and there are guards with guns and when someones character died in the game they were taken off to the "green room" and you're sure you heard a gunshot and the DN just keeps adding bigger and bigger minis to the battlemap and grinning
In a similar line, I sometimes dream i'm writing/I've written something and very occasionally I forget it was a dream. It's quite embarassing/gloomy when it turns out I've mixed up fantasy and reality again.
We are having a lot of fun four-manning it. Best bit of which is that you can write on the map! Presumably that is so you can discuss routes, but it also allows for allegedly grown up men to drawn nobs next to the monsters when they feel their opinion is not being respected. Or just at random.
Go take a look why not? What's the worst that can happen? A grainy video of a grotesque lumberjack puppet being an absolute dickhead to some kids? How likely is that to happen really?
For me, one reads well and one runs well at the table. Both are great, at different things, in different contexts and situations. You should always write good, of course. And you should always format your text to best fulfill the design goal. That is not always making it pleasant to read as prose.

I could imagine someone called H(i)ero Fant. If Fant was their surname, obviously.
IN THE LIBRARY WITH THE WRENCH is my new game of collaborative, GM-less cozy murder. It's coming to Backerkit imminently, and I'd love it if you gave the campaign a follow!

Agree. Esoecially that R. Hard to call someone an arsehole without snarling slightly.
I am ignoring the transparent propaganda hype. This is exactly what sinister invasive space spiders would do to try and normalize their invasion and I want no part of it!!!
Skimmed it on DnD Beyond - got a bud who shares his library - and it was okay looking if a bit too 5e for my liking. Would happily cannibalize it for parts tho.
I'm glad Louis Theroux did a doc on the manosphere because now men are actually interested in hearing about it
Note to self get a man to front a doc on PCOS, the wage gap and Gisele Pelicot
Okay who do I write to to get an owlbear on the fiver?
It wasn't really a basement tho
Da. Also more grownup.
My favourite games designer and one of my favourite authors, collaborating? Have I died and gone to heaven? Shut up and take my money @aptshadow.bsky.social and @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social !!
Never. On the rare occasion there was a cellar it was strictly for storing stuff that probably ought to have been thrown away. Cold, unpleasanty full of spiders, and usually pretty dark. All my youthful gaming took place at dining room tables or on bedroom floors.
I believe it was Camus who said "one must consider the wolf chubby and cheerful"
