We're sorry to hear that. You still had to pay for barricades in OMD3 etc.
You can still make mazes with these especially in co-op. It just requires a bit more of a grind. You can continue to also add more barricades to your free arsenal as you gamble forward.
There's no limit now.
You have starting amount and now there is a rift barricade you can place/pay for.
