Me at my first rodeo: no I get it Iβm just not into it
I am sorry Marlene Dietrich In A Tuxedo. You've had a good run. For decades you were the ultimate hotness in genderfuck communities around the world, and you will always be loved.
But the time has come for a new icon, and Growling Lavender-Grey Hair With Pride Face has claimed my heart.
This was surprisingly difficult. I chose to focus on the games that have had lasting impact over the years. Assume that most games in the franchise are included.

Best song of the year
As humans we really like to anthropomorphize and attach ourselves to things. The more we anthropomorphize, the more attached we become. Then as we become attached we stop thinking as critically and start accepting what it says more without checking. And that is a slippery slope for an LLM.
Humble Bundle has a book bundle full of books on protest, resistance, and community building right now and while it's a very US-focused set of publications, that's a) useful to those of you in the US and b) still has some interesting stuff for the rest of us

These things are terrible but what kind of journalist doesn't even mention the impact on disabled people? Even the folks on reddit talked about it. |

What a country we are
βLike I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.β
Thatβs what the President of the United States is saying to the American people.
He wonβt be hurt by a retaliatory attack or high gas prices. But you will β and thatβs a sacrifice heβs willing to make.

Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and weβre doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
I've never been a fan of elevating work and creators as only for the intelligent and elite, when Shakespeare had 'country matters' and Mozart had 'Leck mich im Arsch'.
Art and shows are for everyone. Appreciating it is not a sign of being a better person.

Pretty sure Optimus Prime wouldn't condone the murder of hundreds of children at a school in a drone strike like the White House video suggests
Harper to the judge: "Your driver's license doesn't list your height and weight at birth. It doesn't list where you used to live. It identifies who you are now."

I served, you're absolutely full of shit. The poster or book with forbidden tattoos is older than either of us. And I was a combat medic, saw plenty of infantry with ink and none of it racist symbols. Because they wanted to stay in the military.
This put me in mind of Sonya Arctica's I Have a Right. Both are well worth a listen today, especially as children are considered targets of horrors at the moment.

Then, second, OpenAI pumped its argument that AI is an imperative skill so educational institutions must make AI upskilling their mission. So it's demanding its use, pushing it into schools via partnerships, and then measuring the results to "evidence" its effects π«€ bsky.app/profile/benp...

But I need to get my website updated!
Sometimes I gripe about how busy I am, but this is the result of all of the things I have been working towards for the last 10 years. Over 20 as an artist. I deeply love what I do. But I also need to learn to take breaks!
A heads up for what is coming up for me this year:
I have a showing at ACMI next weekend for one day as a test lab, and then the final work will be shown at Knox immerse in winter!
After that I have a different new work showing in October.
This is a wonderful problem to have!
My boss at an old retail job got mad I was taking too long to do stocktake correctly, so he hurriedly put dozens of things into the system wrong and my view of him never recovered.
