Im not tryin to sound elitist or condescending. Our evil tech and capitalist overlords have very intentionally designed and crafted this reality and you need time, money and energy to break free of it, and those things are straight up not available to swaths of people, which is outside their control
it also ties into economic pressures. Hobbies are expensive and time consuming. But its filled me with a constant low level of existential dread that well over half the people I meet seem to fill their lives exclusively with tiktok/netflix and work. Im not judging them. Im just, idk, unsettled by it
