Another day, another load of chaotic development content πͺπ
Come watch allong as I pull out my hairs trying to make the code obey my commands π€―

A completely chaotic Trans ducky, trying to write code that will help her... do something somehow. Watch the chaos live : https://www.twitch.tv/annasasdev Working on a custom game engine in C# : https://github.com/AterraEngine π³οΈββ§οΈ She/Her π³οΈββ§οΈ

Ah yes Illustrator this is exactly how my trans ducky looks. Thanks for placing it correctly in the file π
Doing some Webdev chaos for my syfy project in C# and blazor... let the pain begin π€―π³οΈββ§οΈπ

So I reorganized my stream setup a bit and changed the camera location... only to in the process snap off a display-port to hdmi cable π
Hope whichever god this cable was sacrified to is happy with it, may my streams be without stutters for alteast one steamπ
Lol making a website and testing if the "hidden content" is actually hidden
...
Locally it worked, deploy to github pages = hidden content is on the front page π
Webdev is hard
"Make a website for your project" they said
"Sure, bet! Absolutely need to start work on it" I said
Queue DNS config pain to make everything work together nicely with cloudflar/github pages π
Back to getting all my streaming setup all up an running
Why is this less easy than actual development π
- be a hermit gamer person
- Go on hrt
- time skip a year
- Wifey leaves for Korea on uni exchange
- Craves new social situations
- Becomes more social
- Can't go one day without social interactions
- Live in an asocial city = hell
Suffering from becomming a whole person is great ππ
In development, there are a few simple truthes
Developers are masochists
Managers are sadists
And the people who came up with scrum are the dungeon masters
Every time I open OBS and want to click that go live button, I have the same feeling, and that is very normal
Those feelings can be a lot indeed, but you can do it!
The worst fear of a developer has been unlocked for me: writing my own docs website for a library I am making π
Refactoring Photino.NET to fit into the chaotic code π
Come and join along if you like some chaotic banter whilst I slave away at refactoring thousands of lines of code π±π€―

Sounds like a tarvern I would like to visit
:3
Natural lulls are okay, it is part of a "healthy stream" in my opinion. Nobody can be 100% on all the time (looking at myself today for example) and just make sure that at the end of the day you enjoyed the whole, and dont single out the one moment that felt overwhelming
So like I always have this booklet with me I can write / draw in about the syfy story I am writing
The current booklet was started in 2021 and in the last three weeks I have almost, nearly, filled as many pages as I have between 2021 and 3 weeks ago
It is a small thing but I am so proud of that π©βππͺ
Another day, another developement stream
Today we are creating some early stuff for multi platform development... why do I create my own hell? π₯π€π₯

I have found a new love in C#: Directory.Build.Props files
Coincidentally I have also found a new enemy: Directory.Build.Props files
For a second I read "blue-skyrim" and thought: "damm Bethesda just had to relase another version, didnt they?"
*checks notes*
Nearing prerelease v100 of a pacakge ... surely I have something stable to show at this point?
*checks notes again*
just rewrote the entire markdown editor
Welp... I guess v200 will have something stable π
wonders about developping your own Nuget Library in a pre release stage ... Sometimes you rethink the package structure, it is in prelease anyways π , guess who has to Manually unlist hundreds of package versions now, because I made package naming more consistent π ππ
Another trip around the sun π Doing a small birthday stream today, but probably more later this week as well, as I have other irl stuff to go to today π
Oh and coincidentally today is also me being out for one year ππ³οΈββ§οΈπ

Another month, another coding goal to complete!
Follow along with the chaos and enjoy the ... headaches? π€―
Today we are finally getting our new markdown editor working! πͺ
www.twitch.tv/annasasdev
so I had to drop a stream todayπ but I swear it was for a good reason!
After this week's SSD failure my obs setup got botched a bit, and even with backups, I had to reinvent a few things
Now everything is controlled with Streamer.Bot and everything just works π₯π€―
Now for all the chaos to resume soon!
yeah for larger projects I like to do the same and create a method overload like "Not...()" to make sure I can easily visually see what I meant when I wrote it ... but for a small thing like this, written in net framework I just follow the flow... and loose time haha
Yeah I specifically made a .IsNotNullOrEmpty() overload I can use so I dont have to think of looking for the !
Such a great dev I am... Adding a whole Logging provider to my Streamer.Bot C# Library. Adding logs where possible, still not finding why it cant process a file. Took an hour.
...
if(file.Exists()) : quit
Guess who forgot a bang! π€―
So you require me to have mental power? You ask too much π
I dont see the problem here

I would already just be happy with a custom organ or something that regulates my hormones without having to rely on medication, to start with
