People still have this fantasy that members of the most culturally, politically, and structurally top-down institutions in the country will suddenly decide to take down the people at the top.

Disabled people are not asking for extravagant treatment.
Disabled people are asking to be able to use the toilet.
Disabled people are asking to be able to visit friends and family.
Disabled people are asking for the same access as their non-disabled peers.
Please make sure the towels are reachable in accessible hotel rooms.

Cutting personal care hours for disabled people is eugenics.
Cutting services that allow disabled people to function and live independently is eugenics.
Trying to force disabled people out of the community is eugenics.
We should be in a day and age where things are much easier for those with disabilities.
We should have better accessibility.
We should have better medical treatments.
We should have better assistive technology.
But, instead, we get cuts to research, cuts to care, and moving backwards.
