Donald Trump initiated a reckless war of choice with Iran, but that does not mean Congress must continue funding ICE without meaningful reforms, especially after ICE agents have terrorized communities, violated the Constitution, and killed American citizens.
The war is quickly expanding, and it risks destabilizing the entire region. It is putting many more troops and civilian lives in danger. By illegally launching this war, President Trump has made us less safe.
I voted against President Trump’s reckless and illegal war in Iran. We have already lost American troops, and many others are injured. In their briefing to Congress this week, the Trump Administration could not articulate any credible rationale for the war nor a plan to bring it to an end.
