Oh yeah! Watched a season (the one with Jason Mantzoukas) on my family holiday trip to London, we couldn't get enough of it.

I have a box of these in the basement from when I was a kid. IIRC, Dicks' books had the reputation of being functional, but some of the novelizations written by Ian Marter (Harry from Tom Baker's first season) were considered a step up and also occasionally a little gruesome, at least by comparison.

Second most hated person of the game: the ref! Never heard chants of “Ref you suck!” occur so frequently, so enthusiastically and so often.

I wonder if Minnesota Frost player Curl gets booed as heartily at other PWHL games or if Toronto is alone in its passionate dislike of her.

The list seems like a weird mash-up of interesting spaces and places with good programming. The first time I visited Film Forum on a trip to NYC, I was kind of shocked that it was so tiny, reminded me of the Carlton arthouse multiplex in Toronto.

Six for me (Egyptian, TCL Chinese, New Beverly, BFI, Prince Charles, Film Forum) plus I stumbled into the lobby of the Little Prince last summer but have never seen a film there. Lots of possiblities in that article for future trips, though!

Someday, I will have to go back to Michigan and finally experience the Mystery for myself!

I passed this Mystery Spot many times as a child, but I don’t think I ever stopped. Might’ve been wary of the mystery aspect. Castle Rock, on the other hand, was a regular stop, much clearer what you were signing up for.

A lot of the tracks on that comp are (then-)modern remixes, aren’t they? There’s a Steinski track on it that I really like.
