I do adore @badsquiddogames.bsky.social - some of the best (and most necessary) minis around.
Sometimes I am never sure if it's good or bad that I have no business partner or shareholders, it means I can do stuff like that π
I just sent out some weird stuff in the newsletter. Happy Friday!
Nice. Oh wait I did it
A wide format digital painting of a sort of mermaid with some flying fish and eels
Found this old one I painted a few years ago. I made some nice prints of this one back in the day. #art
Incredible! Could I share this on our fb page (with credit of course )
Photo of a painted miniature - a woman in a green dress and dark Turquoise cloak holds a gold jug in one hand, a knife partially concealed by the cloak in the other.

A line of painted minis - different fighters from Ancient Greece/Mediterranean. A raven is also hanging out on a stone. A singer with a Trumpet is set to flee.
This thief (@badsquiddogames.bsky.social) is ready to join my Hero's crew. Someone has to grab the loot while the muscle is tackling the monster.

6 sci-fi style standing stones made from various pieces of MDF painted black with glowing green highlights on hexagonal bases with green glowing basing material
Quick easy build using off cuts of MDF, to be used as sci-fi standing stones. I finally got to use the Krautcover - Eternal Fields Base Cover I got from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social last year!
He'll get a nonchalant nod and handshake
Hyped to see this lad in a nice home environment this week! Met him before *flex* but that was back at the kennels. And he was sproingy then. Rainbowwwwwww π
It always blows my mind how often these sorts of things happen!
I see you
28mm mini of annie as a zombie, peeg on shoulder, lurching forward
Annie shuffles across the wasteland, peeg on shoulder. Is there any memory left in this undead monstrosity? It appears to be heading for the garden centre, so perhaps.

First miniature painted by the amazing Rosie.
My niece came to my house today and painted her first ever miniature. I don't think I have ever seen anyone else being as naturally precise and talented on their first go.
She chose a lovely mini from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social for her first one.
28mm model of an Amazon on a caved face rock, backdrop of desert mountains
We've been shifting a lot of Amazons lately! This is my favourite one, sculpted by Shane Hoyle and painted by Paul Cubbin. She's from the Amazon Fighters pack.

My books haven't arrived yet, so I don't know how many miniatures I need, but here is the start of my ##WarriorsofAthena crew.
Miniatures from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social Bronze Age Miniatures who are available from @fenrisgames.com and Giants In Miniature who are Wargames Illustrated related.

Grab me one while you're there m8
Its a mighty fine substitute though
& plenty of the times they really didn't think about what they said/did in a sinister way "its just how they are" but instead of them reflecting, changing, being informed - perhaps.... apologising, it's down to us to to "not make a big deal of it"
I woke up thinking of all the times older/established men in the industry have said or done problematic things, & I've been reassured they didn't mean it like that or it's been misinterpreted. "It's just how they are, Annie, you're overreacting". -
While we sell the @handiworkgames.bsky.social backdropp books, you can only get the commercial licenses directly from the man himself. They're super easy, last a lifetime and don't cost much at all. All the information on how to get one and use one is here:

image: A lovely hand (my hand) holding up our painted mini of Lyudmila Pavlichenko with a background image of a mannequin of a female Soviet sniped in camo and rifle full text: Back to Brussels Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History, one of my new favourite places for an inspirational wander. This time I took some minis to meet some..biggies? Some of the original uniforms on 1:1 mannequins. Here is our Lyudmila Pavlichenko mini meeting another Soviet sniper. The sniper isn't anyone in particular but I decided she looks a bit like Roza Shanina. If you ever come across Roza's diary I highly recommend it. The diary of a teenage girl on the Eastern Front - typical teenage girl thoughts mixed with the absolute horrors of war and that first person experience. I find it important that we're reminded these women are often girls, and not robotic killers, but very real people in complex situations. Up next is Agent Zo with the SOE suit that inspired me last trip! I still ended up short for time on this visit as there is so much to see so I *guess* I'll have to go back, oh no, what a chore. [mini by us, Bad Squiddo Games, sculpted by Alan Marsh, shown painted by John Morris]

I'll be sending your next batch of minis sellotaped to the cards if thats ok
(not really, I have a smol stockpile and new deal with someone else in the works - same shelf space etc!)
I appear to be signed up to the newsletter for a brand new company that makes all the other products as the other company (minus the wargames stuff) with the same address and directors though, HOW CONVENIENT such coincidence wow
We're already working with some other cool guys to get some new ones made, in good news land!
