Ya, it can be. There are also DE built-in tools sometimes that help remember where to place stuff, no matter where its launched from. Or at least extensions.
But yes you can also instruct where things go from the command line

- Hammerspoon can probably be replaced with shell/python/ruby scripts and variaious things like that. Even lua itself with proper bindings.
- There are a bunch of Raycast alternatives on linux to look through
My point is you probably don't have to change your workflows too drastically in everything
- For small tools, i say look at Bazaar or Discover/Gnome Software for all the cool flatpak tools that exist now. So many good ones and many can probably do what yours do. Also linux, there are SO many little tools. If you have a list, we can help you get those.
to Bazzite, built with similar technologies and tooling. Just minus all the gaming stuff.
- For icloud drive for syncing, i recommend Syncthing.
- I personally use Todoist for Todos so its web based and OS agnostic
- For photoshop, you can go Gimp, but you can also run Affinity with Proton.
My thoughts after reading this, is you might want to consider Gnome based stuff for your work laptop. Especially if you have been in the Mac world for so long. Gnome has a more macOS feel to it and design. Also if you want to stay on immutable Bluefin (gnome) and Aurora (kde) are sibling projects
Unity π€ Epic Games
Developers around the world will be able to bring their games to Fortnite while Unityβs cross-platform commerce platform is coming to @unrealengine.bsky.social soon.

Perfect. Now i just need to get my Pebble Time 2 and make a color version of this.
There is not enough peanut butter jelly time on there. Nyancat is too modern.
Big news! Our friends at Universal Blue have released an LTS of their Bluefin OS, built with the power of bootc on top of CentOS Stream base images. If you love Bluefin but want CentOS stability, check it out.

Anubis tattoo on forehead Challenge.
There isnt for Spotify, but the mixes are based on recent listening activity, so if you just listen more to your preferred stuff, it will adjust.
No clue about apple.
You can also use wood ones like this instead amzn.eu/d/cbtsAeJ
I recently went a different route. I bought a bunch of these square plastic pieces. Usually used for tabletop miniatures. (hobbyheaven.org/en-int/produ...) . Then just used Sticker printer paper (glossy feel) to stick covers on then and an NFC on the back. (hobbyboden.dk/shop/silhoue...)
@hicks.design hey, I have had your Moo Card Player blog bookmarked for years and used it for various ideas. Ive made similar for my Daughters and my wife for Steam games
I was curious if you made any updates or changes since 2021 to your setup. Curious to see if you had any interesting adjustments.
It even survived a move from the US to EU
The box is great. I have one of the original ones and it's still holding strong and so packed full of good stuff.
Unfortunately the last time I used anything Java or Java-adjacent was 10+ years ago. So I doubt I'll be using it. It's all Go and Rust these days for me.
I love the name. I knew exactly what it was when I read it and it's a fun and great name for the project
Maybe the way they do casting has changed? I just link my spotify to google home and just request google home to play what i want.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. reddit.com/r/BuyFromEU is a good resource
I passed my Danish A1 yesterday. And immediately starting my A2 classes. Maybe I'll just push into B1 and then stop there for a while. We will see. I already have to juggle 5 other languages.
But I need to understand my kids as they naturally learn it in nursery and kindergarten respectively.
I have been switching all my tools and services where possible to EU alternatives. Selfhosting some things, sailing the high seas for others.
I only have a few things left that are trickier but majority of my stuff now supports EU companies.
DeepL was one of my first switches, even back in the US.
That is just lazy since I have so many apps that do just that with no problems. Sounds like they don't want to put the work in.
A table of Pokemon starters across generations. With a connected line of the ones I chose through the generations.
Mine has changed often, but seems I lean more towards grass. Honestly the latest generation had the least exciting options for me. To be fair, as a kid, I played all the starters on multiple playthroughs in the first few generations. I would choose differently as an adult.
I have a similar framework. At unity i ebb and flow between a 3 and a 4. Mostly a 3 these days
That's impressive, congrats on getting to the finish line
If you haven't heard or given it a shot, I recommend No Thank You, Evil! for young kids RPGs
Witch hazel pads. Work wonders, especially if you notice a flare up early.
Awesome, thanks. That covers CDN, which is only a part of what Cloudflare offers.
Doesn't need to be free
So what are some of your alternatives to Cloudflare? Especially for DNS, Cloudflared/Proxy/Tunnel, Auth, CDN (free egress), etc
I will write a blog post on the results
